I can honestly say you'll love it here...plenty of cute smilies, wonderful sims, great competitions and oodles of welcoming people....not only do we have amazing simmehs for download but Evie has the most amazing creations available, they're definitely worth checking out

Eeep! I almost patched tonight too! Is it just mods conflicting or is it other stuff too? Sounds like another EA disaster...

At the moment it says non critical core mismatch which always get when it's awesomemod so as of now it's just mods conflicting with the patch.....updaters beware EA's patches are on the loose again

What's new about these new patches? As I know they are not offical yet.

i was having trouble getting into my game today, i had to take out my mods now it works fine do i put my mods back in or will i have to update them am too scared in case i lose everything,,,,advice would be most appreciated :335:

I think you updated it then... yes remove the core mods and wait for its updates also.

There's nothing that tells us what v1.19 etc will change into the game.

Outdoor Living Stuff is out the market this week so maybe that's why the stupid update.

If you didn't update your game, turn off the automaticaly updates on your game launcher and wait a couple of days... what mods are you using by the way?

All I saw about the patch was up on aWT's blog. Just some random update crap:

Ambitions Updates

* The Poltergeist Haunting job will now properly complete when a Ghost Hunter is performing the job on lots containing hot tubs.

General Updates

* Corrected an issue that prevented launching the game from expansion pack or stuff pack desktop shortcuts for certain computer configurations.

I refuse to patch til I know it doesn't cause any major problems. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Last patch made my vamp sims decided to hover off to the side of their altar instead of over it.

Bah to EA and it's endless patches, I was quite happy playing with awesome mod...an I bet my other little mods don't work either...might have to take out th CAS skin mod I have and the book of talent that allows me to cheat when I CBA (aka Cant Be A**ed) building the skills....I suffer from chronic CBA lol

i have master controller and the animator now it says i have something in my game thats not compatable do i have to re-install them.....i really cant live without them yes i already updated i done that yesterday and the game played fine last night..... now just so you know i am a complete air head when it comes to installing things and need simple for dummies instructions

Snap Angie I'm totally technically dumb! When there's a patch update I usually scream, tear my hair out, swear a lot and then take all my mods out and reinstall them when they have been updated by the creators...it's a real pain but I dont want anything to ruin my game so I found that the safest way....I leave in all sliders, and sim related CC but mods are quickly taken out which I hate because I love playing my sims

Thats weird if it ran fine after you updated it last night and not now. Very odd. But that's definitly a mod clash. Since you've already updated the game, you have two options depending your desperation level:

1. Take out the mods and wait for the creators to update. Since it's two very popular mods should be updated before the end of the week.
2. Uninstall and reinstall everything from SCRATCH.

I say option 1.

mmm me thinks i will go with option 1......i have another question......i did warn you i have loads........what is the best mod? i know there are lots of them, this is how i play.....i have 3 families in one town...normal play......1 legacy in another...gen 3 at the moment.....and then i have a model town where i put my comp models into...now to get the best from all which mod should i go for since i got to put new ones in i thought i would ask :352:

I personally always have awesome mod it helps e control CAS more and thats what I want more than anything, plus it does a whole bunch of other little things that I like, I used to use AWT's slider hack but you can't control the slider range on it so I went back to awesome mod.....I think on technical problems or questions Eva is the best person to ask although CeCe, Sergio and Evie have been very helpful too...even Miss Lochness. Sorry I'm not more helpful but I only use this mod and a handful of sliders along with a skills mod in my game and thats it

And I updated with the patch...didn't offer too much so I felt safe and I didn't have any problems with it. *knock wood*
I removed my mods folder and placed it on my desktop until my update was complete, checked my game...and then reinstalled my mods folder. Checked my game and still no problem.

I use aWT's slider mods and he updated yesterday so I removed the old and put in the new.

I hope you get your problem worked out...I cringe whenever I see someone is having problems with lovely and competent EA products! :362:

Now...I did encounter a problem with some custom creations recently...I've found out that ANYTHING that has to do with create a pattern messes up your create a style...somehow I downloaded something and it had to be removed before I could do anything regarding changing colors. It will do this endless 'materializing materials' thing and you will lose everything you have not saved because it locks up your game.

Look at me...I've rambled! I'm done!

AH I hate EA.

I'm too scared to patch my game, even with tiny updates and I don't use core mods. I use sliders, nothing else fancy though. I have BAD memories of patching and putting mods in my game. Very sad and bad and depressing memories. :921:

I feel you Miss L....this is my first time using anything remotely called a 'mod'! Sims1 nor 2 did I add nothing more than custom content...but I added oodles and oodles of it!! Boy...I had some serious stuff but you couldn't change the color remember, so you had to basically download what you liked in EVERY FREAKING COLOR!!

Whew!!! Glad those days are over...now for the other 5,000,000,000 problems EA is still having!! :008: you EA!!

Oh I remember TS2 days. The bloody HAIRS pissed me off. Download the mesh, then download the BAZILLION colours that come with it. Oh, I did like that if I didn't particulary like an outfit in CAS, I could delete it right from there. I liked that part. I forget nowadays what everything is called and then I go to delete stuff and I'm like "which bloody one is it?!"

Also, what is UP with the html around here? Everyone's siggies have gone funny and all I can see is there HTML code?

Ugh totally feel you on that one Miss L...I have something in my game I wanna get rid of and I dont know what it is grrrr!!!!! An now I swapped awesome mod out and went back to AWT's hack everythings working again phew

As far as the html...I have NO clue what's up, I thought maybe it was a temp fluke but this is day 2. I see yours is still visible but many more, mine included aren't. I removed mine until I can figure this mess out.

Oh I totally forgot about the TS2 hairs!!! Mercy goodness was that not stupid!!! I'm with you on the deletion now of cc...I've got stuff I have NO clue as to who made what so it lives on in my game. I took a chance and just randomly removed some things that just had the numbers in the description part.

So far haven't seen anything removed so I obviously didn't need it!!
