that sounds like your game launcher is not updated. Try to update your game to the latest versions just in case your game is not up to date.

Well I wasnt getting this problem but when I got the virus and had my comp wiped out I reinstalled everything and now I'm getting that message too even though it says I'm fully patched grrr silly launcher!

Can you still start up the game, or is the error preventing the game to start up ??

I don't know how you patched the game but here's what I usually do:

1. install base game + patch
2. install EP/SP 01 + patch
3. install EP/SP 02 + patch
4. etc.

I had some problems with the laucher when I was installing things out of release date order... don't know if it helps :|

The game starts fine its just I get that message and then another one pops up saying the sims launcher has stopped working....hmmm maybe I installed them in the wrong order then

I have that too, the sims launcher has stopped working, I think that's somehow related to the EA Download Manager, maybe the error code about the script is EA Download Manager related as well.
They (EA) did an update on the DL-manager again, maybe they didn't get it right (again !!)

Is that the one that ask you if you want to continue error message? If so...ignore it, just click 'yes' and it will launch or download or whatever you are wanting to do with it.

Mine has been doing this for so long I just ignore it, and I also get the launcher has stopped working, I just hit the 'cancel' button and the game loads. I don't know why it does all of this, but I only use the launcher when I need to download something from the store or that I don't want to translate over to a package file.

You can also just make a shortcut and bypass the launcher entirely! I do that when I just want to play the game and have no use for the launcher. Game loads faster bypassing the launcher.

No hun...it's def EA and their malfunction!! I think it happened after one of their wonderful patches. I tend to not pay much attention to it since like I said, I barely use the launcher anyway.

AH! One thing I want to add: I don't never install the EADM! That's why I don't get those messages anymore No EADM for me here.

So true Sergio, I tend to remove mine from time to time and only install when needed. The only reason it's back on is because I needed it to do my uninstall/reinstall.

No CeCE, EADM is totally unuseful!! Even for install/reinstall. The stuff you buy from the EAStore is stored on the Downloads folder as sims3pack so you don't need to download it anymore. Even new stuff that you may buy can be downloaded just using the Game Launcher.
