Ok...several people know that I've mentioned many times that I'd love to enter a contest since it's been FOREVER since I've been in one.

Evie is in a great comp over at Sims Unbound and I admit it looks very interesting. I noticed another contest there while browsing to support Evie and it's a couple's contest.

I have a couple in mind...but the judges are so freakin' young...I mean like 13 and 14 years old...I think the host is like 13 years old and I'm not sure my style of models would even be recognized because it is such a young crowd.

So what do you think...should I just hold out until something I'm more suited for comes along or should I play with the kiddies and enter?

I need honest opinions please.

myself i would not do it. being told you entries are not that good or need more light or you need to do more with you pic's ect by a 13 and 14 year old. mmmmmm no thank you. that would be like me telling my grandmother her cooking needs more spice, or should have not cooked it for so long. lol

Lol! Brian I could NEVER tell my Grandmother, if she were still alive, her cooking needed work...eepp!! Just the thought!! I will def take that into consideration Brian...that is heavy and very deep to think about... Thanks for your input!!

I'd say go for it... age is just a number. I entered a comp before with a 14-year-old host, and it was awesome.

Well what's a little practice going to hurt? It's a competition - people enter it to win - but if you take the attitude that winning isn't what you need then you'll reap the benefits of practice

I'd love it if you would enter Inspiration when Cycle Two comes around. My scoring I think covers pretty much everything:

Quality: #/10
Creativity: #/10
Detail: #/10
Assignment: #/10
Overall: #/10
Comments: Here I try to stick to a list of Pros, and equal list of Cons, and suggestions, may it be invisible lighting, more depth, or anything that could generally improve their scores.

The quality score doesn't depend on how great your graphics card is, it's more about whether your editing affected the quality in a good or bad way. :D

Anyway, I think it'd be awesome if you considered it.

You could always join The Runway Queen. It's not about winning (to me) I think of entering competitions to learn something, even if I know how take nice pics or poses I'll still learn something from Assignments of the competition.

Evie and Abeer, these both sound like awesome ideas...just wondering though...could you both be unbiased in your judging me? I wouldn't want any special favor's or anything...just straight forward. (but nicely...)

Evie your comps are amazing and I do not have near the skills to compete in your contest. I'd love to LEARN more about doing gimp and such however, but my pics would be primarily based on just me and my creativity and not so much on photoshop.

Interesting question... I think if my friend was in a competition I'd be compelled to think their stuff is awesome lol

ikr...I mean, I hosted a comp here with several friends/members in it and I truly had to blank myself out and totally just view the pictures and the work and totally take away the name of the person.

she means can you judge her picture without saying it great just because you r her friend.
like lets say if the picture was really bad,could you say
"the picture sucks" lol

or lie and give her the best score because you know her.

As for the question I'll give honest opinions. If cece's sim or picture was really bad I will tell her whats worng and whats right.

Cece dahhhling *hugs* I've been in a couple of comps where the host & one or more of the judges were friends. By this point it's hard to avoid because so many people know one another and are friends. They were good about giving me opinions on the flaws & problem points in my shots, so it was all good. Most of the hosts & judges (the mature ones anyway, young or old) can be pretty unbiased.

Remember your Big is Beautiful comp?? LOL that's where we met, isn't it? Seems like so long ago....o_O Good luck in whatever you enter in the future! I"ll be rootin' for ya <33333333

LOL I'd never say anyone work SUCKS outright, no matter if I hated them or not. I'd just gently tell them how I think they could improve XD

That's the way it's suppose to be. Rudeness is so wrong and there is a proper way to express your like or dislike on something. I think it's too late to enter that particular contest and I'd really love to learn more on gimp so I could at least fancy up some of my entries! I'm falling so far behind in my knowledge skills.
