White Wolf vs. Black WolfSize Ratio Seen Above
RivalryDominance over the land, the black wolves being a bit more vicious than the larger white wolf, which levels out the playing field.
GenderMales & Females can become wolves. Females are more likely to turn into a white wolf, where as males are more likely to turn into a black wolf. This does not stop the tables from being turned. There is typically a 6-4 ratio in each color group. This is not relevant to you, but it does give you an idea of what your NPCs will be like.
InformationDon't like supernatural role play? That's fine, just pretend like you know nothing of wolves, and continue to roleplay as you normally would. If you get a message in your inbox inviting you to join a pack, simply reply with a "No Thanks" and someone else will be randomly selected.
For every 6 active role players, we will have 1 werewolf. Current wolves being excluded from the active role player list.
If you are chosen, and have accepted the opportunity to join a pack, you will notice a new rank image, do not remove or change this image.
You cannot have more than one werewolf. Sorry. This means if you already have one, your other characters will be excluded from the drawing. This could change in the future, allowing you two wolves for every 2 characters you actively play. So keep your eyes open for that addition, if it gets added that is.
Your pack is determined by which pack needs someone at the time of the random drawing. Sorry again, you don't get to choose. You can, however, choose to deny your offer to join a pack, and hope to be selected again in the future for the pack you wish to join.
After a pack is complete, (5 Wolves), there will be a drawing which will determine your class. For every ten posts you've made, you will earn a ticket in the drawing, increasing your chances. The drawing will start from most advanced class [Pack Leader] all the way down to the least advanced [New Blood].
Admins and RPG Admins will be getting special treatment, I'm sorry, and though it may seem unfair, please keep in mind all the hard work Vana and I have stuffed into the RPG, I think that earns us the right to choose our pack, and level of superiority if we wish to have supernaturals.
Werewolves will be drawn by a random name generator. This ensures friends won't be getting special treatment. There is no way around this, wolves will forever be chosen by random name generator. Sorry.
You can choose to either accept or deny the opportunity to become a werewolf.
If you are chosen, and you deny, you will then be put back into the hat for the next drawing, and a new person will be randomly selected. That way if you decide you want to be one after denying, and you get selected again in the future, you will have the opportunity to join a pack. If you deny your opportunity there is no going back, once an admin reads your decline, you cannot change your mind.
Wolves in human form are often faster, stronger, and stealthier than other humans. Don't take it too far, remember your class, for example, a new blood wouldn't be able to run by unseen (insinuating they run so fast that it's impossible to even see them) when an Alpha is just considered gifted in track. In fact, none of these human form powers are excessive, they are noticeable, but not extreme.
If a white wolf and black wolf find eachother in a relationship, they face banishment from the pack, including the surrounding area, solitude, or punishment. This adds an interest twist to those who have built a relationship, and get chosen to join opposing packs.
It is extremely frowned upon to reveal yourself as a wolf to a human, though word seems to get around anyway. Unless a character has officially told your character that someone is a wolf, or unless a wolf has exposed himself to you in anyway, you will not be able to pretend that your character knows of his/her secret [being a wolf]. Even if a wolf reveals himself/herself to your character, think realistically, your character may not automatically assume this person is a wolf.
Pack leaders typically hold their position for 5 years, when they then battle the head warlord for domination.
If you are turned, you will need to think up a nickname for yourself to be used by the rest of the pack. The nickname must be relevant to your pack. Example, baxter would not be relevant, and frankly, quite stupid.
If you are not the pack leader or spiritual leader, you may discuss advancement with your pack in the supernatural child board. The pack leader, supernatural leader, and warlord will discuss your progress and decide on your advancement.
Average body temperature changes to 101°F after turned.
RankThe color of your werewolves eyes determine their level of superiority. Your characters eye color when in human form does not determine the color of your wolves eyes. Here they are In order from highest to lowest rank. The Spiritual Leader and Pack leader can only be opposite in gender. No same sex, otherwise it'd be impossible to keep the blood line pure.
White - Pack Leader, the boss, very wise and sensible. There is only one pack leader in each pack. Determines the new blood, and determines who turns them. Is fully capable of controlling the turning process. This means you can choose to hold back the automatic turning on every full moon, or partially turn parts of your body as you please. This is particularly handy when you wish to grow your k9's, glow your eyes or change their color, or claws specifically.
Ice Blue - Spiritual Leader, typically closest to the pack leader, in some cases these two become a mated pair for life, but don't always stay faithful. These two are required to mate, in order to keep the blood line pure and powerful. There is only one spiritual leader in each pack. Can usually sense the emotion of other characters, not able to read thoughts, but use the characters thoughts to extract the emotion the character may be hiding. No god modding here, don't sense an emotion that the character isn't feeling, draw your conclusion from their thoughts. Is fully capable of controlling the turning process. This means you can choose to hold back the automatic turning on every full moon, or partially turn parts of your body as you please. This is particularly handy when you wish to grow your k9's, glow your eyes or change their color, or claws specifically.
Yellow - Warlord, second most powerful in relation to the rest of the pack, the pack leader being the first most powerful [Though in some cases, the Warlord can become equally if not more powerful than the alpha, this usually only happens on the last full moon of the current pack leaders rein, which is when the two battle for dominance.]. Typically easily irritated and tempermental, generally feared by the rest of the pack. His/her main purpose is to hunt down the opposing pack, including offspring and future leaders, and to protect the offspring and future leaders of his/her pack. There is typically just one Battle Leader in each pack, but occasionally there can be two, or sometimes even three. Is fully capable of controlling the turning process. This means you can choose to hold back the automatic turning on every full moon, or partially turn parts of your body as you please. This is particularly handy when you wish to grow your K9's, glow your eyes or change their color, or claws specifically.
Green - Fighters, take orders from the battle leader, all new blood are automatically advanced to fighters, where their personalities, skill, and dedication place them for future positions in the pack. Some fighters stay fighters forever, some advance slowly, and some advance quickly. There isn't typically a set number of fighters, as their numbers increase rapidly due to mating with each other and new blood advancing. You are capable of turning as you please, but you can not hold back the automatic turning when the full moon is visible.
Brown - New Blood, usually irrational and immature when with the other wolves and sometimes the traits carry on to human form, but likes to pull out the power or sex appeal card when around humans. These are the future leaders and fighters, and get their training from the rest of the pack. They are unable to control when they turn, making nights when the full moon is visible vital to their training process.
TurningBiting is the most common way of turning, as turning is usually intentional and biting is the quickest most effective way of doing this. Wolves cannot turn other wolves left and right, in fact, you cannot turn another wolf unless instructed to do so by the Admin or RPG Admin. When it is time to turn someone, an admin will message your account informing you of who you must turn, and you must then select a location, name it, change the color of the topic to yellow, and place the name of the new wolf in the description, along with open or closed, depending on if you want the turning a social event or not. Timing typically takes involvement in 2 different topics, in 2 different locations, containing 5 or more detailed and interactive posts by you in each topic before you are officially turned. Yes, this means you can't just open a topic and post "hi" in three different locations, and fill the topic with useless garbage. You must post as you regularly would. Do keep in mind, your attack thread [The thread where you get bit or scratched.] does not count in your turning time line.
Scratching is the other most uncommon way of turning, A scratch from a wolf can be extremly painful in relation to a bite, it usually takes double the time for the scratch to fully turn the New Blood, and the side effects are doubled in intensity, as well as some extra, less desireable side effects added to the mix. It will take 4 topics, in 4 different locations, containing at at least 10 posts by you in each topic before you are officially turned from a scratch. Scratching is rarely intentional, and only used as a form of turning by accident, or intentionaly used on enemies as a form of torture.
Signs & Side EffectsHow to notice a wolf from a human: Wolves can usually be noticed by the intensity of their eyes when in human form they are often changing colors in the the slightest, and at night, they almost seem to glow. The full moon intensifies this, giving them what is often described as cat eyes in the blackest of nights. Werewolves do not like this terminology for obvious reasons.
Common side effects after being turned [This lasts for the duration of your turning process]. You will not remember being turned, but you will notice the wound inflicted by the wolf. Some wounds being more serious than others. You may notice or feel as if someone is, following you, this is typically someone from that particular pack keeping an eye on you, until you turn for the first time. Your senses may feel hightened, this is something you get used to after a while. Sleepless nights, and particular interest in the moon. Extreme desire for red meat. Extreme thirst. Could possibly grow a patch of white, or black hair, this doesn't happen all the time, but has been recorded in the past, the color is determined by the pack you are joining. Excessive nail growth. Grinding of teeth. May find yourself unable to look away from the moon once your eyes make contact with it. In some rare cases you may feel extremely ill, making yourself unable to move from the illness, or putting yourself in the hospital. You could feel extreme rage, or intensified emotions.
When you first turn, it is excruciatingly painful. You will start to feel extremely ill, this is the natural way the turning process gets you away from the public, then your claws will grow in, quickly following will be your k9 teeth. Veins will begin to darken and bulge as the muscles in your body begin to flex uncontrollably. Eyes typically turn a glowing yellow before you feel the desire to stare at the full moon above you, the moon basically works as a pain killer, hypnotizing you with it's glow as the rest and more drastic part of the turning process takes effect. First turning only happens at night, and when the moon is full.
Common life time side effects: The main one being extreme dog like behaviour on full moon nights (when in human form). Typically growling, sloppy eating &/or drinking, and yes, even sometimes the occasional urge to bark or howl, these become more controllable as you move up in your pack. Some humans even report the distinct smell of a dog, but this is also very rare and only noticeable by the most in tune humans.
