I' am so very mad that someone misunderstood the point of my sim home-ec class. When I mentioned the idea on a thread ( on the officials) someone else said it was supporting teenage parenting but its not really. The point of the baby simulator is to find out how hard it is to take care of a baby.

This is what midnightperal said:
"That's why EA won't make teenage parenting for this game cos it's just doesn't fit the sims related games for their franchise, so taking home a baby-simulator for mums wanting to be parents at teenage isn't viable for this franchise, (EA won't allow it) "

That's not the point of the baby doll simulator. The idea is for the teen to experience first-hand what's it like to take care of a baby (and not get pregnant) which is different from taking care of one's brother/sister and I feel its *Perfectly* acceptable for the Sims because the age group which takes it in real life is in the 16 age range and that's what age are Sim teens are.

Why are you so mad about it? It's nothing you should be worried about, really.

I am mad because someone misunderstood the point of the doll simulator as part of the home ec class. They thought I was promoting teen pregnancy. I really wasn't. I just thought a Sim baby simulator might actually drop the requests for such teen pregnancy.

As one of several projects for home ec, Sim teens (either gender) bring home a baby doll simulator and take care of it for a certain period of time. (I only ever seen one other person beside these two say the idea was a bad one and might be mis-understood)

What I based the idea on of the baby simulator::

What I have seen a lot of people like the idea only 3 didn't like it.

I think it's because they see it as something that isn't really needed....teens in the game can't woohoo, and therefore can't get pregnant, so there's really no need for baby simulator. That's why we have them in real life....because teens CAN woohoo and CAN get pregnant. I'm not saying it's not a good idea, though. I think it'd be rather fun.

They actually don't have it anymore in my old high school...my junior year was the last year they made the kids do it. I had to in my freshman year....it sucked...I got one of the fussy babies that would cry for a couple minutes after you fed/burped/changed it and you couldn't do anything about it.

They don't think its not needed, they think it will encourage teen pregnancy in Real life because the *real* simulators (or so tayna claims) do so. I just did some research and all I see is the opposite of that claim. I think that if EA did do it. It might drop the request for the teen pregnancy.
