EDIT: I have unfortunately deleted this sim by accident, when I meant to delete a different one. So I have lost everything, because I was noob enough to not save her to bin... Oh well I guess...I'll have to try and remake her..
So i've been making this lady for awhile now, and I think she's good enough for all of you
I would just love it if any of you had opinions on anything I should do to change her, or what not. She'll be up for grabs soon
Her name is Clerissa Kirschner (yes she has the 'e' in her first name for a reason, I like the sound of the -er better than -ah) and she's a 22 year old model in Bridgeport!

Very pretty sim! Question...do you use sliders when making your sims? And I would possibly maybe change her eyes...same color...just different eyes. Just my op...but otherwise she looks fine.

I do use a slider mod which I got from MTS made by jonha. The link to the mod is here.
It includes 10 new sliders which are: Breast (female teen-elder) Waist (all ages and genders) Hip Size (all ages and genders) Butt (both genders, teen-elder) Head Size (all ages and genders) Shoulder Width (all ages and genders, was experimental before) Neck (all ages and genders) Chest (all ages and genders) Leg width (all ages and genders) Calf (all ages and genders)
I love it a lot and I will take your opinion into consideration and play around with her eyes. (:

Aw, she's cute. I'm not sure about the eyes - are you letting your sim "render" all the way before you snap the picture? I think they could look different/nicer if the texture was loaded at full resolution. What do they look like in CAS?
On my old PC, especially if I tried to run HQ Mod on any setting, there was sometimes a delay until my sim "loaded all the way." The texture and shape of their face, body, and hair was blurry and blockier until the sim finished loading. Sometimes it took forever to load!
Even if your PC can't handle it for regular play, it's worth it to temporarily turn up your settings if you're just taking screenshots. That way you can see all the nice details of the sim you spent time making.
I'm a slider junkie, but even with all my custom sliders installed, I know I would lose a lot of the detail on my sims if 1.) I had my sim detail turned down in the options panel or 2.) I didn't let my textures fully load.
Here are what I consider to be very helpful tutorials about CAS picture taking:
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=CAS_Picture_Taking_Tutorial Elexis does a really nice job about explaining all the basics for those who might be unfamiliar with getting the best quality out of their shots. There is a screenshot of the options panel and minimum recommendations for graphics settings to get the most out of your sim pictures. Basically, you can turn down Reflection Quality, Visual Effects, Tree Detail, Draw Distance, and High Detail Lots - so that you can max out Edge Smoothing, Lighting and Shadows, Texture Detail, and Sim detail. The first set of options has more to do with how your town renders instead of just your sims. It is also seriously worth it to enable "Advanced Rendering" and maybe "Animation Smoothing" for the duration of your photoshoot. Remember, you can always turn these settings back down for actual play!
One of the things that helped me the most when taking pictures was to load a SMALL world for the purpose of picture taking. Keep a copy of your sim in the bin or in the library, and load up a new game. Small custom worlds can load in seconds versus minutes, even with tons of CC installed. This way, your computer doesn't have to render anything but your sim and the one room/lot/set that you're taking pictuers in. There are a couple options available for this. I always used the 40x40 CAS World here (there are 2 versions, get the 40x40 one if you decide to use it): http://fuzzylogicdishwasher.blogspot.com/2010/03/world-for-sim-and-clothing.html It loads super fast! The world is an empty square lot so you can just build a photo studio. You can save this studio, or you can simply load up a "new game" each time you use it. It loads so quickly, there's no need to create a save unless you design a set you want to re-use. I always load this tiny world if I just want to go into CAS - whether I'm making sims, testing out CC, or planning on taking pictures. Saves me so much time, seriously!
Sorry for the long post, but before I upgraded, I used a REALLY bad computer (no graphics card, I had onboard graphics) for my sim-making. By tweaking my settings, setting up a studio, and loading a small world - I was still able to get some decent quality out of the shots. I haven't uploaded to Cstyles in a longlongtime, but my older uploads all had screens taken with that bad, busted up computer.
Here's a screenshot (behind the cut - click Spoiler to expand) I was able to get with those settings on my BAD pc:

Lovely and sweet looking simmeh !! I can really recommend the picture taking tutorial by Elexis, I'm using it myself as well ! Although your simmeh looks lovely, the pics are a little "blurred" (maybe also affecting the look of her eyes), so maybe not a bad idea to have a look at that tutorial ;)

Eva's pictures are literally perfect, so I would take any and all advice she gives. ;)
Excited to see your updates with this simmie! :D
Thanks, Cece! I need to upload a sim here soon, it's been forever, I've been afraid since I've been using Bellalek's/Ahmad's updated sliders (he updated his all of his original 2009?2010? facial sliders a few months ago) and I've only seen a handful of creators switch over to them - the updated versions by and large will simply replace the old ones, thankfully, with the exception of ONE of the mouth sliders (lower lip height). I literally re-adjusted 80 sims (I at least had to check them out in the bin) to switch over. -___-
