Hello everyone! I don't know if you guys are familiar with creating an anime sim...I personally haven't created a sim before and a newbie like me would never manage to make him look perfect sadly D: D: So I ask for your help everyone!! I really need someone into making my fav anime character into a sim! (I haven't finished installing my game yet, but I am very impatient xD) His name is Byakuran which means "white orchid" in japanese.

Hi!! Don't put yourself down. :p While making sims is not everyone's favorite part of the game - I think it's something you should try out before you totally get down on your "abilities." There's really no right or wrong way to go about it - and your sims are a reflection of your personality and preferences.

That being said, since this is a section aimed mostly at downloads, I'm going to move this thread to WCIF, since we don't have a section for requests specifically.

You might want to look through existing sims for download (here and on other sites) - you might actually find a sim that fits your request already.

Hey ^^ I have to agree with you. I would love if I were able to create a sim myself and having no need to download custom content... however the guy above is kinda complicated in creating for someone who has never created a sim before :S and I am sure it takes time to learn how to create a sim, and if I were to try now with my limited time (university >.>) I would end up failing which I definetely don't want, and yes I have already searched many times on the internet for custom content for the specific character, however nothing really satisfies me...:S I downloaded a sim that was supposed to be him from the thai sims 3 site, which if you ask me doesn't really look like the pictures I posted :S and when I tried to install it, the error box poped up saying that there was an error the content couldn't install -.-

It really frustrates me after looking here and there for ages and at last downloading a sim which still is not even close to the original (and cannot install either) >.< not to mention that the anime he is from is not that popular and he's not even protagonist in the series (so less chances to find something). To be honest if it was another sim I wouldn't mind at all...but since it is my fav anime character, I want him to be close to "perfect" and as I said above, I've searched so many times that in the end I got desperate :/ that's why I decided to ask for experienced creators help here... I really wish someone can help me and if not, then it's fine, I just thought I should give it a try that's all :/

Oh, no, it's totally fine for you to make a request! I just wanted to move the thread to the correct section and make sure you didn't get too down on yourself!

This game is certainly confusing when you get started with it - I started playing later than most(and I had never played Sims 2) in mid-2011. It took me a little while to wrap my head around CC and properly installing it, etc.

Did you mean you tried to download a sim from theexchange? Be careful with that. There are obviously some quality things available there (Custom Worlds, etc) but since there is almost no filter on who can upload what, there is a lot of broken and corrupted content available. If you're new to the game, and start downloading a lot of sims especially, there's a chance you could install some broken CC into your game. I would advise staying away from there, unless you know the creator you're downloading from. Even then, there are times when clean files become corrupt because of errors with The Exchange itself.

First things first, if you are going to download CC - whether it's for sims you make or others, you should have the following programs:

Delphy's Dashboard

This will scan your package files and let you know if you have duplicates, conflicts, or corrupt items. There are some things that Dashboard does not catch, but for the most part it's a pretty solid tool.

Delphy's Custard

This is a tool for checking and cleaning Sims3Packs. If you download sims in Sims3Pack form, you can check to see if they have any corrupt content included by opening the Sims3Pack in Custard.

Now, back to your simmie, are you going for a realistic take on the character, or do you want to keep more exaggerated features?

As for my sim I'd like him to look realistic, actually I thought that a great base for his face would be the face of the model of this wonderful cosplay

There's a lot of really amazing anime-inspired content in the community, though I'm not sure you can find that *exact* hair, you might be able to find one similar.


I think there are some close styles on MyBlueBook, converted by TumTum.


LapizRazuli makes amazing hairs that are very anime-inspired (at least some), they're high poly, but the style seems to be on point and if you're going for detail, they are worth it. His sims actually seem like they match the look you might want, though I don't think they have shared any.


Reis converted this ButterflySims hair, polycount is high (16,000) and the style isn't the same, but the hair is large and spikey and most definitely made well.


NewSea's Bad Kid could work, I know a lot of these styles have the hair spiked/weighted to one side, not quite like the original but I figured I'd post them for you to check out anyway.

For skintones, I'd probably recommend Ephemera's Weak Asian, it's on his blog, but you can download the same skin on MTS and it's probably easier to navigate: http://www.modthesims.info/d/475132

You might want to download some premade sims, and just change around the CC to suit your own game/for your personal use. As long as you don't reupload them somewhere and claim that you made them, this might be a good way to get a sim that you're happy with.
