Hi guys, I have a serious problem:
I installed the base game and after I put a lot of custom content (from this forum and others). Now, when I play, just start playing with a family (existing or inserted) the sim appear in a taxi on the street, locked and do not come out anymore.
someone can help me?

Did you try resetting your sim?

in what way?

Using testingcheatsenabled true, type in resetSim (first name) (last name) without the brackets and adding your sim's name.

No problem. I just feel bad because I'm kind of stumped about it, too. I was trying to find a solution online. The only other thing I could possibly suggest besides a re-install is try going to edit town, move the sims out (they'll be on the left side of the screen), and move them back into the house. If this is starting at the beginning of your game, I'm not sure if this will work then.
One more question, did you try running the game without custom content? It could be corrupt cc.

I tried to delete the custom content, skins, install and reinstall several times ... nothing! But now I'm trying to update the version, I think the only thing I have not tried it yet, and, inevitably, it must work!

I didn't think to ask if you had the latest patch. I really hope that works for you. Let me know if it helped.

I'm thinking the same thing...how patched are you game wise? And also...how new are you to actual Sim game play? I ask the second question so we will have a better idea how to assist you. I did check the video and have to say that I've not come across this before. Don't get discouraged though...we have some amazing people here and they pretty much can help find 'most' problems!
You say you uploaded a lot of cc and anything could have come from that. If you only have the base game you could have cc from other ep packs that could be confusing your game. You may have to start fresh and brand new with your game but that won't be hard either.

Do you want to try brand new and we take it from there? Or would you rather try to fix the problem as is?

mods were only for the basic version, before installing them I had never played, but the game was working, because I installed it a few years ago with my ex-girlfriend.
anyway ... I did it!
Installing the patch 1.42, the game just started, it detects scripts added, I think that was the problem!

I created a family, when I entered the game I have not allowed actions on the girl, using her or the guy. The sim is not clickable.

It would help if you could list the mods that you have installed in your game, if any. That way we can see if there's anything that might be conflicting.

Also, I had this problem back when I first got the game, at least shortly after...but all I did was evict the family from their home, placed them on the clipboard and then purchased the house again for them and moved them in. Game worked fine after that! It's worth a try. ;)

Thanks girls! These days I do not had time to try. As soon I evict and see if I can to install them. Otherwise I try to remove scripts one by one, although it is not easy, because I do not remember what they are.
