Well, the announcement came and went yesterday. I have some mixed feelings right now. Sad; because I'm not sure if I'm ready to say Good-Bye to my Sims 3 Excited; because Hell ya!!!!! Scared; because I'm gonna have to re-learn all about installing cc Anxious; because what if my computer doesn't run it or the more likely scenario, What if ITS FULL OF GLITCHES? I remember how excited I was for The Sims 3 but I wasn't nearly finished with the Sims 2 and I left that game behind like a hot potato. What do you guys think?

I have to agree with you on the 'not ready to let go of my Sims 3 yet.' I'm still trying to figure out and explore my various ep packs and worlds!! I still get surprised at times coming across something I did not realize was even in the game or possible. I'm excited though...I'm truly wanting to see what they bring to the game in Sims 4 and like you....although I know it will come with them....no glitches would be LOVELY!!! But totally far fetched...

Right now, I'm in more of a "wait and see" mode. The announcement got my interest, but I want to see what they have to offer and maybe see the first trailer before I start getting excited. I know it's full of glitches and bugs, but I'm not quite ready to say bye to Sims 3 yet. Like both of you, I'm still discovering things in the game that I hadn't known were there.

I am excited about the announcement too. I hope they get even more detailed. I want it to be incredible graphics. I was mesmerized when I saw the first screenshots of The Sims 3. I want to be mesmerzied again! However I am going to try to keep my Sims 3 alive for awhile still. I'm just not ready to put them aside. I really want to try to explore and broaden my Sims game play from now until next year when the Sims 4 comes out. When The Sims 3 came out I pretty much abandoned The Sims 2. And later I regretted it. So, I'm gonna try and really explore the expansion packs now. For example, I've only traveled with my Sims a couple of times, yet I've had 'World' for how many years now? I've only played Supernatural (I have a guy fairy and a human living in Moonlight Falls) once. I don't even know how to do anything in that world. Also; I've never had a bachelorette party. Or used that board breaker thing or well... lots of things. So there's a lot of stuff to do before I give up on this game. But there's a whole year maybe longer to get it all in I guess. Sorry for the long post btw

Yes we can. That little feature came with Generations. After your sim is engaged, you use the phone to throw a party. It's automatically there. Just a word of warning...make sure there are no little ones in the house. People will not show up. That happened to me.

Ya, I want to make a plant sim too! @cece, my sim rolled the wish to have a bachelorette party as soon as she got engaged. I knew you could have one but I always cancelled out the wish. On another note; I'm not sure if you guys saw the news about Nraas not modding for The Sims 4 I was pretty disappointed to hear this. I might have to ween myself off .... no....what am I saying? |

You're absolutely right about the modding. I'm sure someone else will be doing the modding for The Sims 4 and yes, maybe we won't need it. Here's hoping |

EA keeps simmers in a loop, I bet TS4 basic would have a very basic gameplay in the same proportion like the original TS typical serie starter, no pets, no shiny things, totally boring gameplay with a higher polygons, which is always feel slightly outdated in comparison to other sandbox games of the same period anyway. Why don't they make a complete game with all the bell and whistle, and include official content editor with it just like what Bethesda does, if they can't guarantee their product to be fail proof, they better include appropriate toolbox with it.

The could wait another year, like 2015. That way we have time to actually play our games as a whole... and so they can "perfect" Sims 4 a bit much. They could talk to us more, give demos and junk during year 2014, then release Winter 2014 or Spring 2014. I am excited, but I know deep down inside I will have to save money for a new computer. Hopefully, a gaming computer (desktop), then have a laptop for myself.

I agree with it waiting another year. As excited as I am for it, I am curious as to what they are going to do with it. But, I still want to hold onto the Sims 3, I don't want to give them up yet. I don't even touch the Sims 2 nowadays, and the Sims 1 isn't even installed on my pc anymore. As much as I'd love to try out the Sims 4, I'd rather wait another year or two for it, to keep playing the Sims 3, not giving it up. I know when 4 comes out, I'll probably be done with 3 depending on how 4 is. It took me a while to get into 3, I didn't really like it at first. Now I love it and I don't want the change. But you never know what EA will do to the game.
