I just want to know what you think about Ambitions, are you satisfied with it so far, is it what you expected or far above or below your expectations? Does it offer more creativity than you thought or is it 'ho hum'? What about clothing, hair, jobs...is it entertaining?
And last but not least...should others buy it?

It's Ok So Far... I Like The Hair Not Much New Clothing... I Love The Washing Machine Idea... The Houses In The New Town Suck!... It Should Have Included Better Instructions On How To Complete Some Of The Jobs... I Cant Really Say Weather Or Not It Was Worth It Maybe If It Was $20-25 I Would Love It More.

Wow Ms. Tally...first let me say.. HI!!! How the heck have you been girlie? Ok..back to business...well from that...I think I will wait a bit more before I decide whether or not to get it or not. Doesn't sound like I'm missing too much,especially the new town. That part had me a tad excited, but if it's as bad as that...I'll pass. I heard that you can actually wash your Sims clothes...I'll pass on that also...I do enough of that in real life! Thanks for posting!!

Lol I've Been Great Just Been Really Busy But I'm Finally Able To Catch Up On My Simming Now... How Are You? I Thought I Would Love The New Town But The Brown Grass Everywhere Makes Me Feel Depressed Lol

I personally love it :D The new town initially blew me away, but the homes are bad. There are no starters But the town design is beautiful :D Mostly because I love the bayou feel it has, but I don't like that there are no homes in the marsh land.

The professions are really cool :D I had fun with the sculpting career, as the skills level up pretty fast :D I still have to try inventing, and that will be fun :D P.I. is just as amazing! But the stake-outs are so freaking stoopid. They sit there in the middle of an empty lot in plain view with those two bushes, AND NO ONE SEES YOU! WTH?!

Tat's are AWESOME! They looks so cool, and the layerability is great. I just hate that we can't reposition them on our own axis Also, there is a new opacity slider for makeup which is really cool too :D

I'm not to fond of the clothes, but the hair is great, but it's pretty much just old hair reedited. Like the hair from WA, not the straight one, they just lengthened it Of course the new hair looks really good :D

The objects are AWESOME! But the trampoline is rather unrealistic. You fly like 600 feet in the air. I still have to try out the motorcycle, and some of the new object objects, like desks and chairs, are just edited store items, which pisses me off but whatever.

I haven't done anything with laundry yet, but it sounds pretty cool :D Nor firefighter, which is another thing on my list to do soon :D

Best part is, I made a new model unintentionally, so yay! He looks really good :D But yea XD I kind of recommend it, if you want to add more fun ideas to your game.

It's short on the clothing side, but great on hairs, and I'm sure there's more stuff hidden away in the stylist career like some of the hair from EA's videos of it. I haven't done all the skills or jobs yet, had a busy day yesterday and only got to check out CAS and buy mode. Twinbrook is certainly gorgeous, a rather big strain on my poor computer with the graphics I force it to be, but it's huge and gorgeous! I love all the old rails keeping a murky little smalltown vibe to it.

Buy mode with buydebug on is insane. First of all, in the decor section there's a ton of just nice clutter. Kitchen knifes and notepads - I <3 it. And then buydebug gives you all sorts of other stuff that could be made through skills and other stuff. I really overwhelmed me.

And back in CAS, as Evergreen said, the opacity tool made me extremely happy. It works with CC lipsticks as well and really probably should have been there in the base game, but it's really great. The trampoline is unrealistic, but it's fun. :] And I love the little pits that the drillers make, you link them to each other and have fast transportation.

After school today I'm going to test out the laundry, careers, all that. But even now, I think it's worth it.

I love it!! I've been waiting for laundry for sooo long! It's fun....when you change their clothes, the old clothes pile up on the floor unless you get a hamper, then you put them in the washer and can either buy a dryer or put them on a line.

I love most of the new hair...some of it's not my style, but yeah... There's not really much for clothes at all, which is a little disappointing, but I usually prefer cc clothes anyway... I really love being able to have tats, but I'm a little disappointed in the choices....there aren't nearly enough, and there's not enough freedom as to where and how to place them....but I'm sure the modders will figure out how to add some new patterns, so I won't complain.... And the opacity thing is cool....

I've only gotten into the Inventor career so far and it is freakin sweet!!! When you reach a certain level, you get to blow shit up!!!!!!! The stuff you can invent are so cool! There are a bunch of cute toys and knick-knack things, but you can also make a collector thingy that will pick up any collectable/harvestable thing in the vicinity of a few feet, which is handy for a garden! Also, there this thing you put on the floor and whenever you go by it, it sprays cleaner into the air, so it will clean your sim...cheaper than a shower! lol And there's a mining drill that you can use to have underground adventures...didn't know you could connect them...will have to try that tomorrow.... And best of all....there's a time machine!!! You don't get to go with them into the past/future...it's kind of like the mausoleum where it tells you what's going on and you bring stuff back. Oh, and if you look in the journal thingy where it tells you all the extra stuff you can earn, it tells you that when you reach the top level, you have to go through a bunch of opportunities to be able to make the best invention of all, which I'm assuming is the Servo, but we'll see....I'm still only on the second opportunity....>_<

Another nice touch...and this may only be with the new careers....but they reformatted the opportunities, so they are easier to read/decipher....

All in all, I think it's definitely worth buying!! I got it half off with that promotion code that was floating around a while ago, but I would totally pay full price for it!

i like ambitions so far. :3 and i got it for dirt cheap so that makes it even more appealing lol! im doing sculpting right now and its pretty fun, i have yet to try tattooing, being a doctor, a private investigator, a designer so i still have quite a bit to do with it before i get bored :3

Well I do own it, I got it for my birthday from my daughter. I've had it since July 1st and really haven't had a real chance to play the actual game.

I did get my buildings placed, and arranged correctly on the lot.

I put 2 Sims in the game and gave the female a job as a hairdresser and the male a job as a firefighter, I started to switch up the careers but changed my mind. But it would be cool to make a way out there gay male and give him the career of hairdresser and make a totally butch female and make her either a firefighter or a tattoo artist.

I'm just not big on that in my game. In Sims 2 I had a gay male couple who adopted a little girl, but I couldn't really play them because I didn't feel comfortable with the sex thing...so they never woohoo'd and I wasn't even sure how to make them act together. Nothing wrong with having gay's in your game, I guess you just have to know how to play gay's and I have NO clue. Lol!!

But I seriously want to make a gay dude...a very flamboyant gay dude and make everyone in town his friend! Now that would be cool!!

I just don't know if people would get offended if I uploaded him...

Oh well....so back to Ambitions....so....I played around in CAS a bit, I did play enough for the female to go to work 2 day's but never the male because it was the weekend.

When I had planned to go in game and play them my hard drive crashed.

I have the game reinstalled now on the new hard drive but still have yet to play the game. I have been in CAS and as Eva stated the opacity is totally awesome and I have played around with it a bit.

I'm working on 2 Sims right now and I do like the feel of it.

I have placed a couple in a house in the game to one day eventually actually try out some of the careers. It's just difficult with real life, this forum and real life again finding the time to just sit down and play.

I'm thinking about taking a couple of days off from the forum just so I can explore the game more.

I'm really anxious to do this since the new expansion has been verified. Who knows...I might like it and if I haven't even played Ambitions what business do I have getting another one?

Anyway...well worth it, when I had to update when I reinstalled it did cause some serious game lag...ugh...but I'm working that out myself. Today was a little better....

I loaded so fast when I first reinstalled it and installed some cc...but like I said...when I had to update here came the problems. I had to update because the game wouldn't even work until I did!! Damn EA!!!

I like Ambitions so far but dont get to many of the inneractive jobs going can be a headache trying to keep up with 2 or 3 jobs at same time

If you are actually 'playing' the game rather than creating or doing modeling competitions I would say late night or generations....
Just depends if you are a breeder... or a party sim..
Im a breeder lol I make pretty sims and watch them have lots and lots of babies!

However; Ambitions is very nice.. I am in love with the salon themed job.. and love the idea that you have to make people over.. or a home if your an architect.. I have finished the fashionista track, PI track, and the photography.. I really like how they made it to allow your sims to 'work from home.' It just more assimilated to the real world. but that being said twinbrook in my opinion... blah... is useless to me.

Modeling wise.. I would go with the world travels... just so many unique landscape and prop items. There are a lot of downloads you can replace for this but its a bit of a hunt.. and this way you get 3 different types.

I really wish the expacs were not 40 bucks... so frusterating.. I typically have to wait a couple weeks and save.. no eating out (that usually does it lol) to get them

I agree Mel, the prices are unreasonable. I'm not a fan of pets so I can't see really wanting that ep. I mean...unicorns...I play, (when I get a chance) on a more realistic scale and unicorns is just too fantasy to me. I'm sure others will enjoy it!! Also...I don't want to be able to actually 'be' one of the animals. I think pet's is taking the game back down to the little ones, imo of course.

I would love to have a dog in my sims ...thats it ...lol and see what kinda trouble animals can cause in the neighborhood... im also not interested in being my pet ...i think thats silly

What's town life? I think i may have missed that announcement! And Acorn, if we lived close I'd probably give my generations game to ya! I'd probably regret it down the road...Lol...but nevertheless you'd own it now!!

I would think swimming would be an easy skill to add.. and OMG swimming on the BEach! AHH that would be so awesome!
