Ok...here is a problem that I'd like to figure out. When I up my graphics for sim detail it looks fantastic and I can see what I'm missing with it being in a lower setting...however...with this higher setting it messes up the CAS sim. The Sim comes out looking kind of ashy gray with a weird illumination. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone have any clues or advice.

I'd love to keep my graphic setting high for the detail, though it won't kill me to lower it...I just adore the way my Sims look when it is a higher detail. I can't figure out why one part of the game is affected in a positive and one part in a negative not unless my actual computer controls more of the CAS graphics... I don't know.

I have the same problem CeCe when I upped my sim setting to high the sim looked gorgeous in game yet when I popped into CAS my sims looked weird and awful yet when the settings were lowered the CAS sim looked ok...I have no idea why this happens and did wonder wether it was my computer but it looks like I'm not the only one this happens to.

I think it's more or also related to default and non-default skins (in combination with very high detail).
I've set my Sim details to very high since.... well more than a year ago and I don't have these problems with my Simmies in CAS nor in game.
However since I started to use and downloaded Sims with non-default skins I sometimes do have the same problem in CAS as you guys. But it's always with non-default skins and NOT with default skins....

The plot thickens...

I've noticed it's only with sims using the non default skintone too hmmm makes me think I should stick to a default tone lol life would be much simpler

I will have to check on that, I think it's regardless of the skin, it's just the way things are cast in CAS with the high detail enabled. I think if it were just the skin it wouldn't affect their clothes and hair... Could just be mine and me though. I will keep you posted!

thats weird? I've never experienced anything like that before. My sim detail is always maxed. I'll look around and see what I can find. :)
