Step 1
go into buy mode and into misc decor then click on omsd which looks like a pole, place this in the room/area you want to use it

step 2
open up testingcheatsenabled and moveobjects on, also if you are using pose player place this in the room ready

step 3
get your sim into the desired pose or get your object ready for moving

step 4
go into buy mode and roll your cursor over the checked square, press ctrl and shift together on your keyboard this opens up the height menu, set height required

step 5
using moveobjects on, move your sim/object onto checked square now you can move all together to the place you want them to be, you can adjust the height as many times as you need by using the same step as above

step 6
return to live mode and take a snapshot, as you can see below i used a bed
