Hi everyone

some of you have asked me to do a tutorial on posing with the animator mod by Twallen download Here

ok here we go



when you have your sim in position, i am just using a blank background in the pics,click on your sim and you will see nraas click this



then you will see animator click on that, now we are ready to begin.....



next you will have 2 catagories, animation by catagory and looping animation...i am going to go into the top one, animation by catagory



again we have 2 options, play specific idle and play specific looping animation, i am going to go into, play specific idle



here you have 5 options, buff idles, mood idles, seated idles, standing idles and trait idles
i am going into buff idles, this opens up a list of different poses to try



i have chosen to do scared, and this is what you get



in the corner you will see a box this gives you some info on what your sim is doing and you can also change how many times they do it, i usually just leave the animator set as it is



so now i click my sim again and open up nraas etc until i get to the play specific looping animation part this is one of my favourite sections to find great poses



now in here there are a few different sections as you will see, i am going into the top one audio social high, i have found the best one for me is the impersonate celebrity funny



its quite near the bottom of the list but please try out everything it can be very funny to watch



i used this pose in my recent edit for exotica glamour modelling comp



now click on your sim again, you have to do this each time you want to change your animation setting, and we will go into looping animation in here is where you will find all the traits from cas and quite a few other poses too like the ceo pose



i have used this pose in numerous pics, but again try them all, you just have to remember to click your sim each time and follow all the steps, this is the ceo pose



one more from this catagory is the great kisser trait, i also use this one quite a bit



i think i covered everything, if i have missed anything or you would like to know more please feel free to ask, i might not be able to answer but i will try my best to and if i cant i am sure someone with a more technical brain will, this is my 1st ever tutorial guys i hope its ok

hi juliana i hve looked into a few things for you and one of the reasons it might not be showing up is a conflict with another mod...do you have any other ones in your game?

I tried in stand up sim... but, the same
Dont appear "nraas" for me

I have the fast skill mod and nomosaic... I'll take from the folder to see if this is the problem

if not here is a link to the maker of the mod and lots of tips and advice on how to install his mods and also some answers on why they dont show up in game...sorry i am not the best at giving technical advice..such an air head technophobe ....lol...

Well, dont work =(
I tried to put .packages in the new way, tried to put out the other mods, deleted my cache files, but, don't work

I have the same problem Juliana. I'll have another look at it tomorrow and see if I can fix the problem of the mod not showing up.

Thanks Ang!!! I can't wait to try this however I think I will wait and see if Julz get her's figured out just in case I have any problems. You make it look so easy Ang but I have a feeling it's going to be like...well...like me using gimp!!! A nightmare!!! So many buttons....so many choices...!!LOL!!

hiya girls. it's just come to mine and Angie's attention. not so long ago i had to look for a updated version of my master controller tool. as the old one stoped working. it mite be the same thing with this. try updating all your mods. hope this helps.

Hmmm...maybe its need something like Master Controller to make the animator work? Some kind of core mod?

maybe...Miss L...i have the master controller...and it works just fine with that...but i do have to update both at the same time or they wont work....

broomie go for it...its sooo easy to use...i just hope you can get it to work as some are having problems getting it in game.....

oh no broomie is nervous now. Im still waiting for my game to load up its taking ages. The assignments will have finished by the time my game loads lol. Too many downloads thats my prob (hangs head in shame ) takes out instructions from the 12 step programme for downloadaholics and reads out the first step: DONT DOWNLOAD ANYMORE!. Screws up the paper and runs off laughing DOWNLOADS WOOT WOOT WOOOT.

I downloaded and checked the master controller tool and deleted my cache files too. The result is the same... the animator doesn't show...
I'll keep on looking for other solutions ! ;)

You have to install this mod here:
C:\Users\your name\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ Mods\Packages

This mod doesn't work if you install it to:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

I took all my mods, just let the animator and still didnt work ... I give up = (

I thought I had done something wrong, but all the other mods work
After I took all the other mods... I just let the animator, but... the same

Did you also coy the resource.cfg file here, like in the instructions ??

Well I'm going to try this out tonight!! *fingers and toes crossed* I put all of my cc in those folders already, so hopefully it won't interfere with anything else. I have the skill faster mod and the sliders. I can def do without the skill mod as I really haven't had a change to play, but I have got to have my slider mod!!

Broomie...you shouldn't let your game load that long, it will burn up your hard drive!! 2 hours is wayyyy too long to wait for your game to upload. See if you can find a resolution to this before you harm your computer. Just some advice.

Well I will post a few pics if I get it to work in my game, and I've got to make a pit stop by the contest!!! I didn't lurk yesterday and I need my contest fix!!
