Yayz!! I was wondering if it conflicted...but what other poses does it offer that is different from animator? (still going to try it...just wanted to ask)

girls, I have not tested all the poses ...
But the animator doesnt have all the poses of the game (it has most, but not all)
The problem of that... its that you have to type the name of pose =(

You have to go on decor > Miscelaneous and choose the "film claket" (I dont know if is this name in english )

This pose have a bug, you have to type the pose twice to work...

This mod just works if you put the mods in the new way (My documents> Eletronic Arts> The Sims 3> Mods> Packages)

Ooooh yeah piccies we loves the piccies.

Ok...here are the piccies!! I played around with poser for a couple of hours last night/this morning...whatever...and I then messed around with animator to kind of match them up, see which I preferred and which I seen as just easier...which animator won that one by a mile! I didn't see much difference in the 2 other than animator is just much more practical to use. You don't have to keep locating the box, click on it, then type in the pose you want. You'd have to have one of these stationed in every corner of your house! The poser offers a 'few' different poses, the 'portrait pose' being one of them. But how long until that gets old? With animator I LOVE the looping animation you get.

Any who..here are the piccies..first...meet my 2 models that so patiently hung around while I took endless shots of them in endless poses! (as if they had a choice)

First meet Brook


And then meet Mazlo


Mazlo is using the poser, which you can get this same sort of pose on the animator, while Brook is using the animator


Same here with just a different angle, and I was using 'moveobjects' at times to adjust there position


Moved a little bit with move objects but same poses


More just messing around with angles


Now here they both are using the poser, yet I don't see how Brook's pose is 'sexychick' whatever...


Both using poser...as you can see I stopped posing Mazlo because it just got to be a nuisance to keep going to the box, blah blah blah and I found it easier to experiment with just one sim...animator...not tedious at all


Again...both using poser, just Mazlo in same pose. I don't remember what this pose is called because the poser still has some bugs. Sometimes you have to keep clicking the box before the popup will even show up...and the creator didn't mention that you can't have the game paused to use it. Your game must NOT be paused or else you may think it doesn't work...which is exactly what happened to me at first until I played around with it a bit.


My darling Mazlo alone, I felt he deserved it since I had paid Brook so much attention...he is a smiler!


Using poser, this is the cowboy pose... Can't think of much to use this for except contest...and that might be limited...still a cute pose!


I found this odd...on a fluke I decided to try this yoga pose out knowing that this animation only comes with WA...which I don't have...
"The friends that yoga together end up with borky looking legs" Lol!



And of course...the portrait pose...only thing is I couldn't get the different expressions of portrait pose to work. He just kept this same expression regardless.


I just threw this one in because he looks so devilish from this angle!!



So as you can see, I tried several poses with the poser, some just don't work even after several attempts and retries. I just wish it were set up a bit differently, would enjoy it more if it could be accessed like the animator.

I am sure that the creator may hear this enough and possibly try to make it a little easier. But overall...it's pretty cool...I just favor animator right now.

Vury nice Cece! I favour the animator as well. Typing in the poses and having to know the names just irks me. I like everything right infront of me, like the animator. The animator does have some poses that just do not work. Can't remember the name of them, but there were some I came across.

I tried the poster pose in my game and my sim just stood there and didnt move, smile or do anything. Could anyone tell me of the poses that do work with this animator so that I can write them down and use them for my simmies. Thankies to everyone who can help me on this one.

Broomie make sure that you don't have you game paused when you try to use it. And further up this thread Julz posted a list of some of the poses. Hope this helps a bit. I thought it didn't work for me until I kept messing around with it and figured that out. Also sometimes you have to click the poser several times before the pop up box will show up and be sure to type it in exactly. As you click and see the box/clicker thing, delete the ones that the box didn't show up on, sometimes that works. It can be a bit tedious and I just don't have the patience, as you can see by me keeping Mazlo in that same exact pose.

Thankies CeCe I didnt have the pause button on she just kept standing there doing nothing, hmm maybe that was her pose. lol., I will just have to see what works with this animator, I saw everyone downloading the other one and then it not working and I panicked and thought if they are having trouble then what the hell will it do to me so I didnt download that one. Eeeep me and technology just dont mix too well. lol

Broomie did you type in a_portraitPose_x seems like it wouldn't work for me until I made the P cap in Pose.

Thankies Julz and twinzie! I actually love playing around with both of them. Now Julz...I don't understand this...yes...I'm having a 'doh moment. To download means that we will get these poses in our games? I'm just a bit lost.

And I LOVE the poses. I went over to mts and was totally confuzzled by the talk there about custom poses and such. This would be awesome if we can actually download custom poses like custom content!!!

Twinze...of course Mazlo will go up for download. I only want to tweak his nose and then he will be finished. I haven't made a nice 'beefy' sim in awhile and decided to not only make him beefy but to actually define his muscles a bit better...hence using the sliders for calves and legs. I also adjusted his weight versus muscle and waistline to be in proportion with his hips. I LOVED working on him! LOVE IT!! I just STARE sometimes at his body!! (sounds naughty I know...and maybe it is! ) But why couldn't ea have thought of simple little adjustments like these that our community modders are creating?

Oh Julz...where oh where did you get those cute shoes on the female!!! Iz loves them!!

i like this new pose thing but i really hate that its not just like the animator where you just can click on the pose and the sim doses it.
i dont now how i will remember what to type in unless i write it down and i hate having tons of odd stuff written down. my friend comes over and looks at it and thinks i am crazy lol

I feel your pain on that Stevie! First I just copy and pasted everything down on word but that got to be tedious having to constantly pull it up to try and new pose...I find now it will be somewhat easier to write them down as far as just locating them. Something I have't done yet...

maybe someday that person will make it like the animator and our problem will be sloved?

Probably going to make boxes like they had in sims 2, but I agree...combine the two and it would be perfect!!

cant remember what one i used on this one........

i write them down in one of my many notebooks i have sitting next to my pc so a quick glance before typing in the pose, i dont mind doing it that way...but yeah totally agree that if they could have it like the animator it would be so much easier
