hiya everyone. is anyone having problems with game updates ????

well i did today but i got it sorted out in the end.

if anyone has this message come up after updating the new patches.

your the sims3 base game is not incompatible with the current sims3 expansion pack
please update your game via the game launcher.

no matter how many times you try to update it you still get the same message.

it's a big file so it will take about 20-30minits. once it has downloaded right click on it and then open
the let it do it's thing then you should be able to play your game

just remember to take out you Mod folder if you have one put it on you desktop till your done.

Yeah the patch is almost as big as the game Generations itself it's about 650MB.
The download time is really depending on your own download speed combined with how many simmers are downloading the patch. I was one of the earlier ones to download, I downloaded it in about 10 minutes.
If you're using the aWT slider hack, you need to update the mod to 1.22 here
If you're using the Nraas master controller, you need to update the mod to 1.22 here

Thanks Eva and Brian! I had that same problem and figured it out and had to do this also. I don't understand the long download times for you both, it only took about 3 minutes tops to download and no problems since. I had removed my mods before installing it.

But thanks for spreading this, aWT was having problems with his first update of his mod and I told him about this situation and that several were having the same problem. His update wasn't working because of all this but he got it all fixed now!

So it's great to pass this along because some are still unaware of this, especially those of us that don't visit the ts3 forum as much.

thanks Eva i updated everything before i starter to download the game update. it took me almost 20 minits.

3 minits cool that was quick. but like Eva said it's all down to how many people are downloading it at one time. i've had somethings before that only take me 5-10 minits but mite take Angie 50minits only 5 minits after i have downloaded it.
