Hey guys, there are a few things going on I think everyone here should know about.

Yesterday morning my boyfriend and I decided to blow the dust out of our computers, we live in a really dusty place and my computer had been overheating a lot, and since dust is a good insulator I assumed this was the reason why it had been overheating.

So after we had done that, my fan had stopped working. Unfortunately with my computer, you have to take EVERYTHING out of it to even get to the fan, so a million screws and random internal crap later we reached the fan to see a huge dust bunny wedged in the fan preventing it from working properly.

We removed the dust bunny and successfully put everything back together. My computer turned on, and I was very pleased to see it working and see that we hadn't effed it up.

Once I logged on and everything loaded I noticed a little red X over my internet icon. For the last 24 hours I've been out of internet. The good news is my computer no longer overheats or even feels a little hot. It's perfect, but I don't have internet. We have tried everything possible, yes EVERYTHING to get it to work.

When I finally called my dad (he builds and repairs computers) he told me that even the slightest bit of static electricity can zap my wifi card. He told me this is probably what happened when we removed the wifi card and that I may need to purhase a new one.

Unfortunately all I have in my bank account is 20 dollars and my boyfriend and I are unemployed living off of his last 1000 dollars. I'd ask my dad but he is on unemployment and barely making it, and I refuse to ask my mom since she's living in her car.

I guess the new wifi card costs 36 dollars and at the moment we cannot afford it.

My boyfriend said he would share his laptop with me, but without my internet, everything I normally do for Cstyles and my competitions has become a several step process. If I need to make images or anything for my competitions which I was doing daily I need to do it on my computer (my boyfriends laptop is extremely old school and can't handle most of the programs i use), transfer it all to his external harddrive, put it all on his computer and upload everything here.

I'm not sure when I'll have internet again.

I just wanted to make sure everyone knows I'm sharing a computer now, this means I will not be on 24/7 like usual, I will most likely get most of my internet time in at night or midday, (he likes to use his computer in the morning). I will still complete my tasks around cstyles like updating the front page and everything else but until I get internet fixed, I may not be on as much.

Evie thats not good for you, it stinks when you have no money for necessities and yes I say this is a necessity, I hope you get everything sorted out asap, big huge hugs to you

Aw Have you tried getting a job in the graphics business? You're on the best artists I've ever seen. You got some serious talent...

at one point in my life I did want to get into graphic design, but I love baking too much. (I've pretty much wanted to be everything, I change my mind so flippin much!)

Well, I don't know what we did, but my internet works... I have no idea what button I pushed, or what I opened but it's working now lol.

I feel complete again. :D :D :D

also as for the dust. i clean mine and Angies out every month or every other month. and dus all around it once or twice a week. i've never had a p.c overheat or feel warm. mine is always cold to the touch.

Evie you had me ready to pull out my checkbook!!! Can't stand the idea of my Evie being away from her internet! I was seriously wondering 'how long would it take for a check or money order to reach her'? You truly scared the begeezus out of me!

I'm so tickled you got it worked out and that makes me more aware of my computer...tonight...it gets dusted since it hasn't been dusted in a couple of months!

well twinzie you took the words out of my mouth, both me and brian were looking for them on the internet last night to see how much and how we could get one to Evie, but then it got sorted.......yay for evie getting her internet sorted woot woot

like Angie said. i was thinking of buying one from here and putting it in a box and posting it to Evie so she could get back on the internet and do what she needed to get done. but i'm so happy for Evie she got it sorted.

See that is what I love about the family here at Cstyles...those of us that could were ready to pull out the money and help Evie out, shoot between us 3 we could have easily got her a new wifi card. Thankfully she got it worked out!!

Another good reason for the donate button...you never know who it might help in a time of serious need.
