So I thought it might be a fun idea to have a thread dedicated to movie chatter. So write down the title of the last movie you watched, rate it maybe write a short review. There is one stipulation though, please refrain from talking about major plot points. Spoilers kind of ruin the fun of the movie
I just watched 'Control.' It is a beautiful portrayal of the life of Ian Curtis, the lead singer for Joy Division. His life was a bit tragic and dark and they do a wonderful job of conveying it in the movie. Major plus, those HOT accents. The actor that played Ian Curtis, Sam Riley, is yummy delicious, and pertaining to the movie quite the good actor. Its a really good flick regardless of whether you are a fan of the band or not, but the fact that Joy Division and other songs of that era is the soundtrack definitely doesn't hurt.
I give it two snaps up.

The last movie I watched was Nosferatu...the first vampire movie. It's a silent film released in 1922. It's a really good movie, and a lot creepier than you'd think it'd be, despite all the theatrical cheese. It's a must watch! And it's awesome, because all those old movies are public domain, so you can watch the whole thing on youtube and can download them anywhere for free! ;)

My last movie was "The Last Legion". Really only for those who like mythology. It describes what happens to the last in the blood line of the Caesars (Julius Caesar, Rome stuff) and then its kinda sad in the beginning, but it gets pretty intense. Then, well, don't want to ruin the ending, but King Arthur and Merlin ;] Pretty long, but most definitely worth it. Romulus had such a baby face!

Love that movie! It's got some of my favorite actors. Only part I really did not like was how Excaliber went into a rock. IT WENT INTO THE LAKE BY GOD!!
Last movie was Prince of Persia. Very good. Better than I thought i'd be. Copied the city's layout a bit from jerusalem, but otherwise excellent. great anyway

I just watched an older horror movie called Jeepers Creeprs. I love horror and SciFi and have seen this so many times already but it seems each time I watch it again I spot something I've missed before.
For those that haven't seen it. See it!! It's a great horror flick, you might jump a few times...(I don't I'm immune) It's about this 'thing' that is not human but somewhat in the shape physically of a man, that every 23 years, for 23 day's is allowed to come to life to feed. It feeds on what it needs to replace body wise. It will scare you and with that it smells your fear and decides if it wants to eat a part of you. This is the first Jeepers Creepers and they have a Jeepers Creepers 2...which is ok...but it's really hard to match a movie with part 2, 3, 4 and so on.
I'd give it a two thumbs up!!

Last movie I watched was Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead...which is a Chicken-zombie comedy horror muscial, a truely lol worthy picture by TROMA (creators of the most effed up movies ever, well known for the Toxic Avenger series). The have are also known for giving some of the top actors (Kevin Costner and Samuel L Jackson for example) and scriptwriters (Matt Stone and Trey Parker) their first movie contracts.
I could give you the movies synopsis but it would ruin some of the fun hehe. The main characters are Wendy and Arbie (and they sure are named after fastfood joints, most of the characters are hehe) who face the supernatural happenings at Amercian Chicken Bunker a new fastfood joint built on.....wait for it......an Ancient Indian Burial Ground!!!! Yay!!!

I just watched El Superbeasto which was... interesting to say the very least. It is directed by Rob Zombie and its just as strange as you think it might be, El Superbeasto is the main character, he wears a mask like that little Mexican wrestler... you know who I'm talking about. He has to save a foul mouthed stripper from a giant ape with a smart screw in his head and Dr. Satan. The movie's got zombie Nazis', tons of cartoon tits and more than a few gross out moments. I'd recommend the movie if that's your kind of thing. I can't say that I thought it was funny in the laugh out loud kind of way, but if you've got no better way to spend 90 minutes you might want to give it a go.

I just watched The Ugly Truth with Gerard Butler (drools) and Katherine Heigl. If you're a chick, and you are in the mood for a very positive movie that won't leave you in tears or with night terrors then I suggest this movie. It's a great mood picker upper. Funny jokes, a lot of sex references and hot men. What else does a woman need?

The last movie I saw was "Ghost writer" in the good old cinema, featuring Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan & Kim Cattrall, directed by Roman Polanski. It's was quite a different movie in comparision to the movies released these days. No 'real action' scenes, only plot & story, so that was kind of 'refressing'. The movie is about a writer who gets the opportunity to step in and ghost write the memoirs of the former UK Prime Minister. He has to step in, because his predecessor died under suspicious circumstances. As he learns learns more about his predecessor a kind of 'spy story' develops and ultimately with some CIA involvement... I don't think it's everybodies movie because of the pace of the movie & no 'real action' scenes; but I think it's definitely worthwhile watching. I've enjoyed it very much !!

I tend to go towards movies with more of a dedicated story line, great directing and acting versus movies that just have a lot of explosions. That gets tired after about 10 minutes. I wanted to see that Ghost writer movie, still do.
I just watched Cruel Intentions 2... I don't even know why I bothered with it, it was on demand and I needed some background noise. But it was complete and utter crap, from beginning to end. The acting was weak, the story was weaker.

The last movie I watched was a Korean film called "Cinderella" (not in any way shape or form related to the fairytale). It's about a teen girl whose mother is a plastic surgeon, and all of her friends end up going under the knife to get work done (they're all teens also). Crazy shit starts happening to them and they start dying mysteriously, and the girl tries to figure out what's going on. My synopsis sucks, but the Netflix one explains it better (the reviewers give too many damn spoilers).
I love watching foreign films on Netflix, particularly Korean and Japanese. There are several cool plot twists in Cinderella, and it gets pretty confusing in certain spots, but I really enjoyed it. I'd give it 4 stars, or like 3.8 or 3.9.

To RD, yes I´m also quite particular about the movies I watch. Like stories and acting above explosions, special effects and looks altough I loved watching the movie Avatar (the movie I watched just before Ghost writer)... But like like SF and fantasy as well, maybe that´s why
To Cel, that is one creepy looking picture, when I clicked the Netflix-link. Love horror as well, don´t watch horror much though, have to be like in the mood or something like that. But when I am I will look maybe 3 horror movies in a row !! Cinderella, maybe will give it a try 3,85214697586 is not bad for a movie

I watched "A Cinderella Story", actually... With Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. Haha. I'm so embarassed for actually admitting that, but it's a first for everything, right? Lol
