Hi ya'll!!

I've decided to add several new categories in the General discussion thread. Since this is such a HUGE thread and things can get pushed back quickly, I think this will be a fab addition to Cstyles!

Here is where you can assist. Post a subject that you think would be beneficial as a 'separate' category in General Discussions. Nothing sim related here...just talkie talk!

Now here are the things that I will be looking at once we get this up and running. First...not every suggestion will be used. If I do add your suggestion, and it stands stagnant for a period of time, I will delete. However..deleting will probably leave room to add one of the suggestions that didn't get picked in the first go round!

I will submit what I have in mind.

1: Movies--talk about movies, old, new, ones you want to see, have seen, plan to see, etc.
2: Music--share your music taste, post video's if you like, music lyric's, pictures of artist, etc.
3: Languages--since we have a huge vast amount of languages available on the site, why not teach a thing or two to someone else! Or explain a question someone else may have about your language.

I for one love the music and language section. Great ideas.

You know on the languages...we may have to incorporate somehow, how to actually pronounce the words. I LOVE this!! Thanks all for your participation!

Categories I can think of: Life dramas, advice needed, spiritual experiences, I HATE THIS, and MISC lol

I like the 'I hate this' one especially!!

I'm 100% for a "Decisions/Advice" section!
Maybe combine the music and movies into "Entertainment" with a description of "Music, Movies and Television" or something like that? Just a suggestion. :D

I also think a MISC. section is important! Just for the topics that don't fit in the categories. :D

I kind of felt the misc section could be the general disc instead of sectioning off that particular part.

I going to make some headers or mini, tiny little banners or icons to head each subject so it doesn't get overlooked easily.
I like the suggestions of combining the music and movies category...may have to do that!

one word: feed back forum

hmmm...maybe use: " its up for debate", creativity ( but that kinda goes with feedback forum),and "this is personal"

Would you consider a 'feed back forum' the same as 'suggestions' or how are you seeing it? I'm really loving the 'feed back' I'm getting to this thread...so I'm trying to distinguish between the two. Thanks Freedom!!

I think if you did a "Decisions/Advice" section that Feedback could be included in that.

I definitely like the Advice idea (for personal stuff and purchasing advice), and one thread for Entertainment (it could be movies, music, Netflix, concerts, tech gadgets, food, yada yada). Maybe something for recipes? Or all things food related? Or.....maybe I'm just REEALLY hungry right now...? All of Shyne's ideas would be cool, and the Languages section definitely. Maybe something for interesting articles we come across? Things that might not fall into the other categories.

I'm all for the food section too....I'm going to be making homemade pasta sauce in a few days in fact since we have like 100+ tomatoes sitting in the kitchen in boxes from the garden lol

I like the interesting articles too, maybe expand that into websites we want to share etc

Maybe something for eccentric hobbies....like Akasha has her corset wearing and making, I watch WWE religiously, watch Starcraft and League of Legends game commentary and love My Little Ponies etc lol, those little weird parts we might not get to bring up into conversation normally lol

Perhaps a craft section of things we are working on that don't at all relate to the sims...painting, sewing etc anything like that

Wow! You guys are on the ball!! I get one set of ideas wrote up and someone else hits me with another delicious idea...(of course I could be thinking food because I'm hungry also Cel)

I love all these ideas and now I need to see how it could be best incorporated. PK...I can cook, and I'm a very very good cook...but I HATE cooking. Maybe I will become inspired with a new recipe!!

Keep 'em coming...and I'd like to see some ideas from you all on how to set this thread up so it's easily understood and not confusing. You know...make it A B C instead of ELOMENOP! Lol!

I'm the same Cece, Good at cooking but I hate it sooooo very much hehe
Baking however, baking I'm totally ok with, but I never have the time these days

Oh yeah, another idea...maybe a ''Remember this'' thread....candy, tv shows, movies, ad campaigns etc you might stumble across from years ago and wonder if anyone else remembers them
My husband and I wear talking about those candies...think they were called Spacesticks or something in NZ.....the ones that looked like cigarettes hehe

I thought advice/suggestions were more personal based
and a feedback forum would be creator based.
it would be a forum intended to be used as a tool for creators, to help in creating custom content. and also a way help everyone learn how to create . Having new eyes on a project can help improve your work, even for experienced creators. For beginners, having experienced creators available to provide tips and hints can also be quite helpful.

That's a good idea Freedom -- there could be two separate feedback and advice/suggestion threads, one for game-related/creative things and one for 'life issues' maybe, so that the two don't get jumbled up and you have someone asking advice about ending a relationship right next to a topic about shading & lighting on a sim pic. Feedback and advice sections could be really useful for getting creative help and also venting.

@PK, I lovvvve the eccentric hobbies idea! I love all kinds of weird stuff (and man, I haven't been into wresting since the days of my love The Rock <3 )and it would be funny to share some of them (besides just on my dusty blog). That would be an excellent category to have.

And 'Remember When' too, definitely. We used to have candy cigarettes that all the kids would get at the convenience stores, and they'd have names that were kinda close to the real things. We thought we sumthin ELSE with those things, and the chocolate liquors lmao

@Cece, I was verrrry hungry when I wrote that but then again I'm hungry often. Cooking is one of those bonding things in my family I guess, one thing we all (the women) have in common and enjoy talking about and doing. I grew up with the whole watching grandma (the family Saint) bake cakes and homemade biscuits thing (Southern, u know how it is), so I have a real love for cooking. I'm just always superuberultramega critical of what I make, and I always think it tastes like crap so I'm never SATISFIED with what I cook or bake. Hardly ever. Just like with sim pictures....hm. >_>

Cel we are going to have prescribe some serious ego boosters for you girl! When I cook, I either am extremely proud of it or extremely dissatisfied with it. I have NO middle ground. Lol! It would be fun to see what others enjoy food wise. Now...let's start to see some ideas on the actual setup of this forum. What suggestions do you all have that would make this forum an easy to locate and understand type of forum. I don't want to set it up and it be terribly confusing for people to follow.
