CC for new updates working with game not updated...?

So with everything that's been going on with the Pet's ep and the problems associated with it I'm having some questions. One, if you don't own pets and you download some cc that has been updated for pets, will it still work in my game. I haven't downloaded the last 2 updates/patches because my game works wonderfully and I don't see the need.

And...if I get WA, do I have to uninstall all my sims games so they will be in a certain order or will it still go to the newest ep available by EA?

no you do not need to uninstall...cuz frankly i had no idea which order they were when i first bought all the games...i just started playing 2 months ago or so. I installed in the best order i could and i know i wasn't even close...they all still worked. I think CC made for pets still works without pets EP. But some are still making CC for people with pets and without. What i would do is install gradually and test it...and if u see a problem then this way you know what caused it.

Sorry to say that but CC creators who has the pet patch, their CC will work only if you have your game patched to 1.26.
Unless they state frankly that they dont have pets of patch 1.26 but they use a certain program to make it cool with the patch.

Thanks ladies! Maybe I'm stuck then with what I already have. I guess my cc folder will be happy! I'm glad about WA, I've been thinking about downloading it but it never truly interested me enough until I came across several screenshots and video's and they totally peaked my interest.

I think installing an EP or an SP, doesn't mean you have to uninstall everything and install these in the right order.

When you download CC updated for Pets and want to install it to your game, you have to update to 1.26.

Aww...so I guess I am done with having new cc. I just don't want to patch me game and have to have a gazillion problems! Sad...

Not without patching but why not patch and use the fix from TSR so you can enjoy yourself...the fix from TSR works and my game works great once i ran it on my mods/packages and my dcbackup and dccashe folder

any objects that ur sims interact with =D

Yeah like Louma said, if you haven't patched to 1.26 you can't download NEW (pets compatible) CC. This CC are items your sim can interact with, like all kinds of furniture, cars and stuff like that.

It's no problem downloading new clothing CC and stuff (unless it's stated by the creator you need 1.26).
