Ok so I'm guessing everyone has heard about the new sims 3 expansion pack, The Sims 3: Showtime, right?...So I just wanted to know...does anyone else feel like EA is TOTALLY ripping us off?? I mean the expansion is basically a couple of new careers that they should have given us with either Late Night or Ambitions. They could have easily made this into a mini expansion or possible a new type of stuff pack because there is no way I'm paying 40 bucks for it. I'll just find it on clearance later in the year. I was totally expecting a seasons expansion before something like....well this:








Anyone else have any thoughts on the matter?

I see totally what you are saying. I was major disappointed when I saw what the next ep was. It could easily be divided up evenly between Ambitions and Late Night because those 2 ep's are what they compliment. I'm not getting it, just not worth it. The only real appealing thing is the pool table. I thought we'd either get Seasons and I had heard rumor of a pack that was going to make it available for sims to be more active like play basketball and other outdoor sports. Now that ep I would have bought. This one...not even on clearance.

Now see I love this EP and will for sure get it...I also see what your saying about combining this with LN or AM but it wasn't so i will buy it.

I just wonder if all this expansion pack will be is a few new careers and new social features for people's myspace and the like.

im gonnna get it . someday i wont be playing teh sims anymore and wont care about this or that. i like to get all the expansion and stuff so that it all works and and nothing is missing. i love seeing new things. and besides. we dont know yet wwhat the whole thing is like . no played it yet. it never seem to be i thought i would be. orange.

i want it so bad! and i am mad as hell that i have no room on my cpu for it because i loved when the i think it was the first Sim game had that superstar?

I also think there's sort of a "social" option with this EP, so you can have a sim of your perform in a game of your friend through a portal option
