Comp ideas...

I have a few ideas. My first idea is each assignment is a different band and each contestant needs to pick a song by that band to represent with a picture. And my second idea is similar to the first, but each assignment is a different song and each contestant is assigned a lyric from that song to represent. What do you guys think? I don't really know if the songs I want to do would be good, though, because they're extremely dark and so the contest would be even darker than Gothic Beauty was at times.

Thanks, Tobz. I'm still concerned about being able to find enough people who would get as invested in it as you, Cel, RD, and the others did. I really want to do Korn songs for the first contest, but I don't know if the themes are too dark for people or not....Jonathan is kinda messed up in the head. lol But he's a brilliant artist!

But a music one would be great. You will come up with something, I'm sure a few of the regulars around here would be interested.

I dunno if that idea's gonna work. Sad...

I looked at the songs in depth and I could only find about 6-9 good lyrics that would work in each song. That's ok. I think I have another idea....each assignment everyone is assigned an abstract word that has several different meanings and see what they come up with in a picture. I dunno...it's seems like everything's been done already, you know. I don't want people to think I'm copying another comp.

I still like the song idea.. maybe a different band? and do the song overall as an assignment? People like doing dark pics lol. But I also like the abstract word idea as well. Let us know if/when you start a comp up. I totally enjoyed Gothique.

Would it be non editing as well?

I have to agree with Shyne on this, it's been FOREVER since I was in a contest! Now they have changed so much, awesome graphic display's as well as awesome editing of which i'm not good at neither. So...I just lurk the ones I can! Razz

I'm still thinking about it. I'm currently in two and judging one, so yeah...it might be a while. I still like the abstract word one, too...what should I call it?

And yes, it will be non-editing, or very little editing.

Aww it'd be awesome to have a CStyle comp ^^ I've entered other comps but I don't edit my pics much if at all. I just prefer to use in game stuff to make pics :D
