so i downloaded the showtime with katy perry and my code will not work to i can have it kown by sims 3.com that i have it so i can download the katy perry stuff....

What do you think of Showtime thus far?

I'm just sick of the laaaaaaaaag and the incredible loading times and I still can't play SEASON'S due to problems ea related. Yep...a little bummed at this moment and I know it probably won't be patched until the NEXT ep comes out! Glad you got your stuff to work and that ea worked great for you Stevielee!!

I'm very glad that you got the download code sorted out.

Lag is blah. I've capped my population and am sticking to playing small/medium sized worlds, and so far that seems to be helping immensely. I also clean the snap files from my save pretty frequently. EA's in-game settings to turn off memory and different species don't seem to completely eliminate these things (just their involvement in Story Progression), so I'm also using a couple of tuning mods from Shimrod to control the game + Nraas Overwatch, Error Trap, and Register.

Large maps or worlds with too many lots/sims just don't play well at all with Seasons - I know that these factors will slow down the game in general, but it's definitely gotten much worse.

I think it's funny that most of my mods are just to "fix" things.

The lag issues derives from the new rain, snow, etc graphics; puts a massive strain on your graphics cards plus memory:(

In a much older patch, the game was made large address aware - however, for some, this seems to have been reversed with the 1.42 patch. Like Annie said, the new effects demand more from your rig graphically, etc. So, for those experiencing LAA bugs in addition to the overall strain of seasons, it is more likely that you will encounter Error 12, experience crashes.

If you are playing in any of the EA worlds from EPs (not Store worlds), i.e. Sunset Valley, Twinbrook, Bridgeport, Appaloosa Plains, Starlight Shores, or Moonlight Falls - I strongly suggest you also grab the routing fixes available at MTS:

They are available in two formats - the World resources that you can import into the file, or a repacked world file that you can get in a multi-part download. There are further instructions on each download. There are also routing fixes available for the WA worlds (France, China, Egypt). This will help prevent stuck sims when travelling and stuck sims in your main save. This goes a long way in reducing lag.

i am liking showtime so far.
i made a sim and moved her into starlight shores. shes a level 3 singer at the momment.

i made her a social butterfly and a diva.
shes goes around making people mad cuz she says everyone is a diva LOL

the world is ok. i havent really looked all that much into it.

i like the house my sim in currently in. and i love the stages at places.

the little clubs are a cute tuch too.
