Chapter 1
Crunching down on that last piece of toast, she headed out her parent's front door, ready to face the day.
"See ya later, mom!" Rebecca called out before she slung her bag over her shoulder and hurried down the porch steps. She proceeded to walk to her brand new school. The walk there didn't seem to be a long one but as she kept walking, she heard a rustling sound. This sound became louder with every couple steps she set forward, but it wasn't her.
"Whoever this is, please stop!" She shouted. "I will call the police!" Then she ran until she bumped into a girl. "Do you min-" she started and the girl just stared at her.
"Oh," the girl began, a sweet-setting smile on her face. "My name is Kenna, McKenna Andrews." She finished. Rebecca looked at her and shyly replied,
"Well, my name is Rebecca Sinn, I have an older sister named Peyton but she is rude and just plain not nice!" She smiled at Kenna finally. They knew that they would become good friends.
(At School)
"So that's why you had the pox in first grade?" Kenna asked Rebecca. They looked over and Kenna told her,
"Don't worry, Becca! She is just one of the popular girls. Don't let her get the best of you." Kenna whispered to Rebecca. Then one of the cutest boys walked out into the cafe, he had his hands around another girl, and Kenna told her,
"Don't get high hopes, he already has a girl and her name is Jade Praxx. She is one of them." She finished.
"She is one of who?" Questioned Rebecca. But, what she didn't know was that there were higher hopes for her someday.
