So sadly I had to uninstall Seasons because it was acting funky and upon further investigation I see that it's a problem within ea! Not surprising...
Upon further checking I see that others are experiencing the EXACT same issue as I was. Unplayable to the point that it was just causing me a ton of headaches and frustration and made the game just disappointing to even boot up!

So out it goes until ea patches it!

So...back on topic...I decided to see if there were other ways to improve my game play minus Seasons since I had already started hiding store content and was looking into finally compressing some of my files. I had also did a complete Spring (no pun intended...maybe... ) cleaning of my custom content so I am pretty proud of my progress. Still a couple of hiders to do but nonetheless I'm pretty happy...until Seasons that is.

While browsing and looking for possible solutions to Seasons I came across a mod made by NRaas and decided to look see and find out if it was worth a further study. Thank GOODNESS I did!! I did a complete study, verified the abilities it claimed to make, read up on reviews of people who have tried it and said to myself, 'get 'er done!'

I'm amazed! Upon starting my game up, (it does NOT speed up loading time...sorry)...I was shocked to see how much it caught! 350 files!! After being in game for less than an hour it deleted 75 vehicles!! These things weigh our game down because they constantly regenerate needlessly.

And...for the drumroll...it speeds up game play significantly!!

Thanks for the tip, Cece. I've noticed that my game tends to slow more with every sim week and I usually end up ditching the family because I hate the lag. I'm going to try this out and see how many vehicles and unneeded things my game has generated. I'll be sure to write it down and share after I play. I've kind of gotten attached to my genie family and don't want to ditch them.

Great Kat!! I think you will be very satisfied!! My game was lagging also, not to the point of deleting families...but enough to just irritate. With this, I found myself fussing because my mouse was ZOOMING so fast I couldn't catch up with it!! I was literally laughing because it reminded me of my game when it was a brand new virgin...ah...memories of innocence!

Now...I just have to find the mod that speeds up loading time...I came across it earlier and now I can't locate it. I wish I had downloaded it when I first came across it!!

My sis is going to let me have Seasons sometime this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed that my computer can handle it.

CeCe happy that you found this i use overwatch and error all the time and it cleans up so much stuff in the game that you are playing also The Dresser is very good cause than sims get dressed correct !!!!

@Sellasu...That's why I posted this...it's too awesome NOT to share! I tried dresser for a minute but don't quite understand it so I took it out so I could study it a bit more. And a Happy Merry Holiday's Christmas to you also!!

I can gladly agree with you...Overwatch for the WIN! After playing for about an hour in my genie household, 150 vehicles were removed, 5 stereos and 4 tvs were turned off, 21 stuck sims were found, and 3 missing sims were found. Wow! My game usually had the blurred sims until they rendered and now they are already rendered by the time I get to them...yay!!!!

NRaas for the win, Twallans does have a lot of great mods for a lot of issues !! I don't know what I would do without his mods !!

Kat...didn't I tell ya!!!! I forgot about the sim blurring...I noticed that right away also! I'm actually eager to boot my game up and last night I got all of Xander's info together to upload to you and Sellasu!! I do have to go back in before I do upload him...I want to rotate his nostrils just a tich and then I will pm to you ladies!!

Going to try something I found on one of the websites to see if that helps speed up loading times. I will post if it turns out positive! If not...I will just keep on searching!

I still can't get over how many cars it deletes on a nightly basis. They shouldn't allow townies to have vehicles at all, but thanks to this mod, they get cleaned up. I really don't know how I was able to play without this mod.
Ooooh! I can't wait to get Xander in my game. If all goes well, I will probably post some pictures of him on Tumblr, too. Gotta show off Cece's gawgus guys!!!

i put in the overwatch mod. how does one know it works though? how does one know it remove the many cars and stuff?

Mine runs a little scan at 3am and cleans up the cars, finds stuck sims, etc and then a little note comes out and gives me the stats. SellaSu and I will be testing out Xander for Cece to make sure that he works in our games. Then she will probably upload him for everyone else.

It's turning into a winter wonderland here. We're supposed to get 12-15 inches by Saturday night, but I think we already got most of it. I love watching it fall as long as I don't have to drive in it.

Had to go to my sister's house to wrap presents today, but thankfully the roads were pretty clear. Twas a little cold though. After Christmas is over, I'll be looking forward to spring. ;) Actually, the holiday lights look nice with snow flying around them. Why do you only get food for Christmas mamx? Although the idea of family is awesome. I won't get to head home to mine for Christmas sadly...it will be a late celebration for me...however...at least I will get to see them...hopefully. Sis got sick and we had to postpone the travel plans. Her health far succeeds any travel plans...got to get her healthy first!
