I use either CTU or TSR Workshop to edit hairs - I extract the meshes and textures and play with them.

I use TSR Workshop or Delphy's hair program DABOOBS which packages CTU hairs.

If you're just re-categorizing them, you can do that easily in S3PE with the "grid" if it's a package file.

I'm also trying to get rid of the thumbnail. Does s3pe do that as well? I like my catalog looking uniform |

Yes, you just have to delete the "thum" files! It will shave down the filesize by a hair. Sometimes more than one thum file is included (this is usually when a file has been converted from a Sims3Pack). You can safely delete all of them. The thumbnail may be stored in your caches, so you might have to clear them to have the changes "show up." Sometimes there will also be "icon" files - these are generated by TSRW and can be deleted as well.

You can untick it! Other sims will sometimes respond negatively if the other sim is wearing something that "isRevealing" - I've seen it set for skimpy clothes, which is fine (the category is meant to be associated with the naked outfit), but sometimes it's set for regular jeans or hair and that makes no sense to me! X__X

No problem! I'm glad I could help!! I know exactly how you feel - I spend so much time downloading, organizing, making sims, doing all this other stuff that isn't actually playing. X__X To be perfectly honest with you, I haven't kept up a single save for months and months. Lately, I've been on a world hunt. For a while I was collecting community lots only to scrap the world I was setting up. But there are different ways to play, that's what I keep telling myself!

What do you mean? That's not playing?? I consider that playing hahaha and omgoooodness! I know how YOU feel too! I haven't kept a save either for a long time now LOL like a year. I've been looking at challenges and they look like a lot of fun buuuuut I haven't started any yet. Too busy hoarding stuff for my game lol smh!!

Haha, it makes me feel better to know that others play the game this way too. I hoard cc, then I sort through it and try to "cut down" ultimately to download more stuff as soon as I've cleared space. Then a new EP is released, or in the works, and then I plan for all the things I am going to do when it comes out so I "can't play yet." I get so antsy to play when I look at other screenshots, especially from challenges/legacies like you mentioned. But then...I just organize! XD I'm sooo close to starting a save, or err 3 or 4?, though. I just have to finalize my populations. That's another thing, I want to play with all of my own sims, and not any premades. But then I realized I had 90% YA Females and had to diversify my population before I started - but I didn't want to get rid of any of the sims I had. Totally nuts.

Oh I wish I had that problem.. I hate making sims LOL I'm just not creative in that area!! I download the sims from this site lol and decorate them with an ass ton of cc haha. I just *had* to google what the next EP will be now I've got the PEPS lol. O by the way it's 6am here. I haven't slept alllllll night since I found out I could edit the hairs in s3pe. Ohhhhhhhhmy. Lol

Pshh, I think everyone has their own awesome way of making sims - it's fun to mix it up from several creators, because then you get a really diverse look for your game. There are lots of gorgeous sims here. ;) I mostly download male sims. I have about 90 females (that I made) that survived "the cut" - and there was no way I was making 90 males myself. X__X I tried, but failed miserably - so some are mine, but many are downloaded. When I say I can't stand premades, I mean the ones that come with the town. They've got to be replaced/made over or I start panicking, haha. Oh no! You need to go to bed! Haaha. I'm sorry! Eeep. The hairs won't evaporate if you sleep, I promise.
