Hi, I downloaded University via Amazon a few days ago. Everytime I try to play, my game will get stuck at this loading screen perpetually. I have reinstalled twice and have been trying to play with a cc/mod free game but I still have the same problem. Left for work, came home and screen was still the same. I tried to look for similar problem on Crinrict's blog but didnt see anyone with this problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

You could try deleting your DCCache folder (not the contents, the entire folder) and see if that helps. I had a launcher problem a while ago and this solved it. I actually cut and pasted the folder to my desktop in case I needed to replace it, but I didn't because the game created a new one.

Thanks for responding, unfortunately I already tried both of those things. I've tried everything that I could think of but it just gets stuck there while the game tips just keep rolling, so annoying.

Did you check to see if all of your mods are up to date and did you update to the latest patch which is 1.50? This is critical because it was a huge update and a lot of mods had to be updated. I don't see how any cc could cause this problem.

Try putting your mods back in. Update all that can be updated. ou may get a couple glitches occasionally but it should start.

I tried pulling my NRaas mods out and my game wouldnt start either. When I put them back it started fine. He has updated several of them but there are still a lot that need updated but your game should start and run fine.

Oh...and never leave your computer like that, you will burn it out like that. Just a suggestion...

I usually shut it down before I go to sleep or out. Tried updating the mods, taking them out and putting them back in but still wont work. I've never had any problems until University, im not sure what to do now.

This happened after I got University for the first time but it was a mod causing the problem. Does it do this with every world? And when you take out your CC do you also make sure that you also turn off the CC from the launcher as well?

Yes it does that with every world. I haven't tried to turn off the CC from the launcher yet. I'll do that now

Im having the same problem i just downloaded and installed university, it will only work if I take out All of my packages. I think its just one mod that can be causing the problem. Still trouble shooting atm.

It probably is a mod that is seriously causing havoc. My game was loading, but it was hiccupping all over the place, acting like it wanted to crash...SERIOUS lag, so I deleted ALL my mods, replaced them with new one's, one by one...after downloading them from the sites again, (check to make sure they are the latest updates!) and kept integration by NRaas out of the new mods and error by NRaas, deleted my cache files, DDCache included with the other 4, and it's working almost like it's a brand new game. Oh...I did delete some of my cc, but I still have heaps left!!

I think it was just a basic spring cleaning of the entire game. Oh...and I deleted any package file that was just numbers and no name. I felt like if it didn't have a name I didn't need it in the first place.

I also ran Dashboard...had 2 conflicts...deleted them...(I did this early on in my spring cleaning.)

My game is working so great I'm scared to attempt to install Season's again...but eventually I will.

Try all that and see what happens, but deleted the cache files AFTER you do everything else!!

Yeah I had to trouble shoot mine, package by package by package, I had some condensed CC i made and whatever was in it was causing problems, I had to update my NRAAS , delete my cache over and over until I found the problem. So far im good. Took a while but i really want to play University. I have all the Sims expansions installed. can't wait.

Wasn't it horrible though...all the stuff you had to go through just to play this new ep?!! I'm so glad others were able to easily glide right into it, I just wasn't one of the lucky one's...as well as several others.
