I am trying my best to try and figure out what is wrong with my Sims skin. It seems to be primarily happening to my males...but it is so frustrating. Any one have any clues?





It happens to all my male sims no matter what hairstyle they are wearing or even facial hair. I'm stumped...

Does it look like this in game as well as cas?

Try removing all the accessories, like his earring. Also, do you use the same contacts on all your sims?

i would swtich his skintone to another then put it back on to see what happes mmm


one other thing i would do is remove or use another beard facial on him , then use what you had used before again. usally it clothes that dont show right for me sometime i just go find it and click on the outfit again or use diff one and go back and forth mm. ah good old sims!

I have tried all the above. I've changed skins, hair, eyes, clothes...it is with all my male sims, not just random. And I see it in game, just not so obvious as in CAS. It's irritating.

Do you have a default skin installed? Some sims have defaults if you installed through the Sims 3 Launcher.

The only Sim I've downloaded recently was Kat's Cece Sim. My girls are fine, it's my dudes. I've got my game booting up right now and I'm getting ready to do some stuff. I may have, or least fingers crossed, figured it out. I had 2 skins that the creator specifically stated to use only 1 version. So I removed it and will see if that was the culprit!

Hopefully that works because this definitely seems like conflicting skins or something of that nature.

Ok..that didn't work, however I did find some nasty 3party pubes that I removed. Yuk...just pure N.A.S.T.Y. It was actually altering the abs on some of my male sims. Went back into my package folders and decided to try a new approach and found ANOTHER double skin!!! Sooo...just removed it and booting up my game again to see if that works!

Fingers crossed!

yes some skintones are double copies of one another in that one is adult and the other one is barbie . still not sure what the problem you are not liking though? is it that the hair scalp skin color dont match the skintone?

Well that didn't work either! mamx...the face is not matching the body. I can visibly see a line and slight discoloration between the two. I'm stumped now...

Have you used sims 3 dashboard to check for conflicting errors and such?

that mean there are 2 skintones being used on your sim
that can mean either 2 different default
or one default and one not a default
or whatever
yeah
you got skintone maybe just for the face only
you got a skintone maybe just for the body only

tifa has face only skintone
so does subaxi
now subaxi doestn clearly mark the skintones as such though
that where it get tricky

if you have default face , the body will use either a different body default or whatevre you put on it right

i wonder if you have some kind of skinramp mod in your folder ?

texture replacement is what it will show up as in dashboard
somone one else can explain this better than i can for sure

but it true some skintones will not match together.
usally best to use the 2 pieces by same creator

now i would google skintones head and body dont match ,this is not a new problem. yeah
oooooohhh gotta gto get some coffee now this skintone mess is most most wierdness indeed

I think I am going to have to go in and just get rid of all skin that I can visibly see marked, change my default skin, will probably go back to using Evie's as my default, never had any problems with that and it does make beautiful Sims of color!
