A couple of weeks back my game started to freeze when I chose a household so I had to use Alt Ctrl Delete to turn off the game. I moved all of my CC, mods, downloaded sims and saves but it still would not work properly and kept freezing when I chose a household.
So I re-installed all of my games, but it did't help and kept freezing and now I don't know what to do, CAS works perfectly but when I chose a lot for the family to live on it freezes when it´s about to zoom in.
My computer is about five months old and the game as run perfectly until now.

So I would be incredibly happy if someone could help me.

Seems like it might be a lot and maybe some corrupt cc within the lot maybe. For it to crash at this specific area, that seems like the most likely even though you stated you have ran your game cc free. When you removed all of your cc, did you delete your cache files also before running the game vanilla?

Have you also downloaded any new textures for your game? Sometimes something as simple as a pattern can cause huge problems with our game.

I have tried different lots, so it's not a lot.
I have deleted every cache file before I ran the game. I have downloaded some pattern but when I re-installed the game I never moved the folders back, so the game is running completely free from downloaded things.

Maybe not entirely free of cc though. For some strange and odd reason when you download a pattern, even though you deleted the object that came with the pattern, the pattern remains. Trust me, I have experienced this first hand. And since it seems to happen only when you choose a household, I'm thinking possibly a pattern that you put either on a house or within it.

Now, I've got to try and remember what I did to get rid of the mystery pattern so my game would run again. It might even be here on the site. Let me browse and see what I come across and let's see if we can get this out of your game! This was a long time ago so I can't remember right off the top of my head so please be patient with me.

I had this problem. It was the new patch that was giving me problems. I had to downgrade to the one before. That was just of me.
