Well...I'm still experiencing problems with my male Sims skin...the neck is obviously showing the separation from the head to the body. This is driving me crazy!! I'm losing so much patience with my game and frankly, it's causing me to lose interest entirely.

I can't create my males and see this obvious flaw.

So, what I"m wondering, what would the overlay be called that Buhudain (sp) created. I can't find it and even wonder if it's still in my game. I don't use his skin as my default to see if that maybe was causing the problem, and it's not.

I'm seriously thinking of offering a 'reward' of sorts to whomever can fix this problem for me...that is how desperate I've become. OCD and something like this DOES not mix well!! DRives you banana's!!

I think also I need to check out a skin that I have installed but I will be darn if it does not have a label. All it shows is a line through the color...like a 'flat-line' like you'd see if someone were dead. I want that skin out of my game...but can't locate it.

So what i"m basically asking is HELP ME PLEASE!!

well  why not take out the dccache and the dcbackup out ? put them folder someplace safe  temporaily
and run the game and see if the problem is there still
 if it is still going on ,then it means that you have the file somewhere in your folder

or
 
 you can keep the ddcache and dcbackup folder in there and move out the whole mod package folder to a safe place  temporaily ok
 run the game 
 try the sim cas  whatever you are doing?

now   either way if the file  showing up on screen in cas on the sim ,you will know it either been installed   and is part of the dccache or
 it in your mod package folder



dont forget to check your overrides folder
 
if you can find the orginal website find the file download it , you can see maybe it name . file size, use simpe to examine inside that  file. so that you maybe can  find it. 


usally when a sim of mine in cas has the neck problem i change his clothes or skintone or both and then    click the button to make it go back to what it was orginally,the it look fine . itjust some glitch for me. 

all this time you talk about this problem but no illustration ,that might help other to see what you talking about maybe? i wonder if a picture will make more sense to others?every little bit helps

This is a face overlay default replacement.
It works the same way as S-Club Eyelash remover or other face overlay mods.
So you can choose only one of them to use.
And this can be incompatible with some default replacement eyes with face overlay edited.

Hmmm have you trying removing everything in your game BUT the skins? Also what Sleepy suggested is a good idea. But make sure you take out any of the presets you maybe want to keep. Including your collections folder if you have an CC collections.

@mamx, I did post pictures on a previous post. I will post some more.

Sleepy and KK, I truly hate the idea of having to do all of that. It's just a task that now is so daunting. Considering I just did a uninstall/reinstall recently...ugh. I'm ready to throw my hands up!! And now that I think of it...geez all of the uninstalls/re installs I've had to do since I've owned this game...

It would be so much easier if ALL the skins were labeled properly or better yet, I wish Delphy or somebody would update Dashboard because I know if it were updated it would find the culprit!!

The reset requires no reinstallation :3 It's actually good for your game. It gets rid of any un-needed files.

Oh...is buhudain's overlay skin titled something other than it being that in the package folder?  I can't locate it and I won't to see if that may be the possible culprit.

any kind of thing like  replacement or skintone is  a texture replacement it says that in delphy. then i  click  simpe on that file to see what in it. have you even used the package viewer yet ahhh ohhhh

Buhudain_DR_YouAreRealV1.1_Male_KeratinFace

and

Buhudain_YouAreRealV1_Male_Body_N+P

how come they are not spelled like that in cece game? wow. that strange  , no wonder  cece is most vexed

I did try Delphy's to see what I could come across and had a few tiny conflicts and double files...but nothing that would affect the skin.

I used the package viewer as well and nothing negative comes up on it at all. I have no clue how to use simpe.

KK are you using the old version of his skin? The lastest skin is V5 and the skin is still V4...he said the face didn't need upgrading.

And I see you use just the male body with the nips and pelvis and no abs.

I use the male body, high resolution due to my game settings, and I have nips, pelvis and abs.

What was the overlay called before he actually made the body skin, I need to see if that may be conflicting somehow with the body skin. Ugh...I just confuzzled myself...did any of that make any sense?

The reason I want to check the overlay is because it affects all the skins on the males.

yes that is confusing, it skintone dont show up as red, all i was saying was that in one of the column in dephly  mod is that it  describes or say what kind of file it . so it will say  textures replacement. either it in your folder or not and you should be able to see it . i dont understand why you can read in the package folder to find it . im missing something. ah well

in the last patch or before that one it was a fix to fix dark sims overlay problem. so if one has the thing in the game as a package file made by somone , that thingis not needed . so that mean remove it. that i remember a while ago.

Weird I have no idea if it's been updated or not O.o that's just what I use in my game. I only use the 3D replacement not the skin so I'm not sure.

Hmm....are you sure that is just the overlay KK..it looks like the actual skin.  I will post some pics tomorrow so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. I do appreciate all of you helping me!

Yup lol. The skin is default isn't it? My defaults are Ephemera and they work fine.
