Yeeeup. Silly story: when I was in 3rd grade my best friend talked me into going "swimming" in the hottub in my backyard. It was there when we moved in the place and the water was all green and filled with algae and leaves (were there NO swimming pools within a 10 mile radius of us...???). She had me pretend to get 'permission' from my grandma on the phone (no one was on the other line & we did it in front of her mom) then headed over to my place, only the back gate was locked so we had to climb over. We 'swam' in that cruddy water for maybe an hour before my parents came home early and she tried to bail but we got caught (we ACTUALLY tried hiding underwater...). I covered for her and said it was all my idea, and her parents were SO mad at me! We seriously could've drowned with no adult supervision like that, and caught god-knows-what disease/parasites from that long-standing water...ick. Lol sorry, been meaning to tell that story again for a long time!
