I downloaded the Starter Home a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to find it to use. I see it listed in Documents but when I try to open it a box comes up and tells me that it is already installed. Does anyone know how I can open it and start using it?

If it's a home downloaded from somewhere then it should appear at the bottom of your screen (in edit town mode) where all your sims are...click the tab show empty households and it will show you a picture of all the houses that are in your game and free of any residents.

Wow I feel like nut :D I went to Town Edit and saw it as the first one and it did't click what I was seeing Any ways I'm working Riverview and need to find another spot for the Fam, it's to noisy, so I've got to get them painting to make the funs. Thanks a lot for the help.

No problem I've done that myself lol...There are other ways to get the funds if you're willing to cheat....theres Familyfunds familysname amountofmoney ie: familyfunds Claire 9000000 or in the edit town mode you can type in freerealestate and then your family can move into any house they wish without spending a penny....you enter both these codes by opening up the cheat console (hold shift+ctrl+c) but to enable cheats you need to type testingcheatsenabled true in the cheat console first hope some of these help as I know I got so impatient waiting for my sims to paint or sculpt things they could sell....it's the same with the skills...thank goodness for that book too....heheh I'm such a little cheat monkey, but my sims have better things to do like strut around town with celebs lol
