I just started a family in Sunset and they are bathing and showering with clothes on that I didn't choose for them. I took out a cc shower twice and finally used an EA Shower and still the same. I decided to go to a tub and the same thing, they have clothes on like tennis shoes and regular street clothes. It appear to be EA clothes. Has anyone run across this? Would really appreciate your help! Thanks

And I think inappropriate also do this. But I had this problem once, that was not trait related and I do believe it was a piece of cc that was making that happen. i also know that some Peggy hairs were making my sims shower and bathe with shoes on and also changed their hairstyle. Hope you get it worked out, please keep us posted on your progress and I hope you get it worked out!

I use the same traits all the time and never ran into this. I've gone through the house and stripped it of all cc and replaced it with EA including the wall paper, nothing changed, still those silly clothes on them. The cc's that I used I use all the time with no problem. I have a house now that I'm using it in with no problems. Don't know what to do now, real strange!

Thanks Angie. Some womens clothes shoes up in my men clothes that now I understand why and that's what my man wears into the shower which makes him look, lets say feminine. I have stripped everything cc and found only one new thing I used was a flower pot, can't believe it would cause all this. I'm a lot def when it comes tech, so what do they mean when they say delete from launcher. I went into the files but some of it is computer talk I have no idea individual items. Does this mean I can't use cc anymore? I have a house now in Bridge Port with the same cc and no problems. I did have to move around my French doors but other than that everything is fine.

I just had this reply from the thread i put on.... Does she ever download sims or lots from the exchange? Even if the creator uploads them CC free, it is possible that a corrupted file from their game can piggy back and make it's way into the download. I would suggest going through the "Installed Content" window on the launcher just to double check and be absolutely positive something didn't sneak into her game without her knowledge. If the sim has absolutely no CC, and no mods, and the sim does not have the never nude or insane trait, I do not know how or why they would be showering with their clothing on. I have never heard of this being a glitch...every time I have seen this (my own game included) it was corrupt CC or a trait of the sim. I hope she figures it out soon because as I said, this happened in my game (it was a pair of shoes causing the problem in my game) and it just made me INSANE until I figured out how to completely get rid of it!

Back again. I went in and deleted the two new cc's that I used, still clothes on. I deleted a top that looked like the one the man is wearing but, nothing. The ones I want to delete I can't find in the install, the pictures are so darn small. I thought I might just delete all the Tee's I see and maybe.......... The lady has on blue tennis shoes that are EA, I can't catch the clothes she moves so fast even with the pause she's already blocked. Oh well, I've started pulling hairs now

if you could try and get a pic then i can search for the item and give you the name of the file to delete i have been checking for answers but none yet..... the best time to take the pic is to be ready with the pause button just as they are stepping into the shower and use the tab key then z or w to zoom in to get closer before hitting the c for taking the pic

Snow I have a suggestion, evict them from their house. Don't put them in the bin, just when the option is available move them back in and try to see if that fixes it. I did that when I was having a totally different issue, but had read someone did this and for some odd and strange reason it took care of it. If that still takes place, move them into a temp home and see if the clothes still show up. Also...try moving the shower out. I know this seems kind of off the wall but sometimes it's the weirdest fixes that work. Thanks Ang for looking so deeply into this for Snowee!! I really appreciate it!!

Well a little good news! The man lost his shirt but still has on his pants. During a clothes change the game put him on the pants that he has in the shower and they are cc. I searched thru until my eyes hurt and can't find any pants in installation. The lady still has her clothes on, I deleted two sets and a set of tennis shoes and they are still there. The tennis shoes are EA and I have the same set in cc. I took the snapshots and they're ready for upload if someone could please tell me where to do this please. Cece I know how to evict but do I just put them to the clip board and take every thing with them and use freerealestate to get them back in? I think I tried this before and screwed up with my family. The funds aren't there to move them elsewhere now.

Snowee when you evict them don't take the home or furnishing with you, just let them place on the clipboard. (left side of your monitor) They should leave the house with the worth of the house with them. If so...then you can easily buy the house back and move back in. If not...you may have to use the cheat 'freerealestate' to move them back in. Ang may have found a problem if that's the pants the guy uses. I had a plant one time that was borking my game..hence I don't download plants from anywhere but ea's, also a pair of curtains was borking my game so I am super cautious on those downloads, and a bathroom set was borking my game and I had to remove it entirely. Each time, once I deleted it and removed it from the game, the game worked fine. I believe Ang is getting closer. Also...like I mentioned....try moving them into a temp house, let them shower and see if it happens there also. If you need anything else...just keep posting until we get this figured out. Ang is a super hound dog it seems and is very determind to aid you in this!! She is my twinzie!!!

ok..thanks do you know if the items are package files or sims 3 pack? to test this theory we could take out your package file and sit it on your desktop go into game get them to shower and see what happens?? if they are still wearing the clothes then its sim 3 packs were looking for which makes it easier to locate, if you do that i will keep looking in all the known cc places i have listed for the offending items we will sort this .....i wont give up until we have done it ...

Ok, I sent them to the Pool and had them to shower and the clothes were still on them, if this helps. Checked on the pants again and they are cc. Lost with the lady clothes. I found (3) Package Files but don't know which one to use or if they're right: sumcompositor cache, caspart cache, and compositor cache. If one is correct do I just drag it to my desk top??

No Snowee, Angie is talking about taking out the 'package' folder within your 'mod' folder and placing it on your desktop. This will remove any/all custom content downloaded to your game via package format. This will not take out your sims 3 packs downloads, but that can be easily removable also. With just placing it on your desktop, you don't have to 'delete' your cc, you are basically just seeing if you can pinpoint where the problem might be. Keep us posted hun!!

If the cc came from the ea exchange then most likely it's corrupt. With that you will probably have to just take all your cc out and then reinstall it bit by bit until you locate the bad piece. I know it sounds tedious and time consuming...and well...it is...but the ea exchange has been known to pass along some bad stuff.

Ok I download lots, but not lately though, and then I started getting a bunch of cc in my caatalog to use, is this what you're talking about? I see the download file for lots but not one for cc other than the install on Launcher. If I uninstall all the cc will it just be lost to me. I know Angie gave info for protecting myself and I'm going to do that. Sorry to sound so def, never realized something so fun to play could go so tech.

Oh hun don't feel bad...I've had to uninstall and reinstall my game at least 4 times (maybe more...) so we all know of the stress this game alone puts on you. That's why we all want to truly help you find and fix this. And of course...if all else fails...then a uninstall/reinstall may be needed. Ok...to remove all of your cc will not make you lose it. Follow these steps and you will be able to keep all of your cc until you find the corrupt piece. Go to: My documents---click From my documents go to Electronic Arts---click From here find the folder marked Sims 3---click From here go to mods---click Once inside mods you will see a section called 'packages'---click Here you can view all the cc you have downloaded in 'package format'...now to remove this go back to 'mods' and you have 2 options... 1st option: copy and paste this folder to your desktop or 2nd option: Just click it and move it to your desktop either way is very simple Just keep that folder on your desktop and then all package downloads are out of the game. Now... you still have your 'launcher' downloads which is where you probably have most of your cc since you said you mostly get your cc from the exchange. Also you can set your 'downloads' folder also located inside the Sims 3 folder on your desktop. Just copy and paste or just pick file up and move it over. These can be placed back, but to place the files back that are in the download folder you might have to reinstall them, which is easy. The items will place automatically back into the launcher and all you will have to do is 'click' to install. I hope this helps you and doesn't confuse you more, I've broken it down as easy as possible, although someone might have an even easier way.
