Well I'm just a tad miffed at this moment. I've read the post here that some so kindly posted letting us know that Sunset Sims would be shutting down in 3 weeks due to a lack of funds to keep it up.

I then was checking on ms3b to see if some members creations had been listed in the updates and I come across another post letting us all know about the possible future of Sunset Sims.

So I thought, why not donate some, not much, because we have bills to pay here on Cstyles as well, but why not help another Sims 3 host keep their site up and running! I went and got everything set up and sent the donation straight over. I had seen on one post that others were letting him know that they had donated, so I thought, maybe I should post that I donated, Lord knows not as much as some others had, but I figured any little bit helps. Also, we have several members here that use Sunset Sims and Sunset Sims has graciously posted a lot of our creations from our creators and members from here on their site. I felt the closing of Sunset would hurt many, but I wanted to help out mainly due to the members of Cstyles.
I haven't been able to get on in so long but I don't fault them, I figured they might be having some server problems or whatever and it would be fixed as soon as they could.

Any who....

I go to register and can't get on the freaking site. It ask this two unusual questions, the first one fairly easy to find the answer to but the second one a bit more tricky. I searched Google and could not find a reasonable answer so I decided to do a more extensive search and see if their were others who had possibly had the same issue and lo and behold Black Pearl Sims had some ask the very question of why it was so hard to get on the site.

Someone there gave her the answers so I went back and tried to register again. It then pops up and tells me that my username is not acceptable so I go back to see what I've could have possible put wrong since I pretty much use Cecesaun1 when I sign up on other sites and blogs.

I go back to Black Pearl Sims to see if someone had possibly had problems with their username and yes, the reason being was they don't like numbers in usernames!!

I go back and delete the '1' at the end of cecesaun and try to register again and this time a note pops up stating that I' m not allowed to register because I seem like a spammer and tells me to go eat a brain muffin or something to fact.

I was furious. So much so that I decided to go to my online banking and stop payment on the donation. Wouldn't you know...my bank is doing maintenance and I can't get online to stop the payment.

Maybe it's just time to sign off for the night or day, it's 5 am and although I'm not sleepy...I am tired. (I have horrid insomnia) I'm just a bit miffed that I felt that I helped someone out without hesitation and know that I could have easily invested that money back into Cstyles and I can't even be granted simple access to let them know that I have helped.

It's not even so much as telling them I helped, it was just feeling let down because after all that work I'm made to look like a fool just trying to register.

They can keep the money, I won't try and stop payment. I've had some wonderful people assist me in a time of need for Cstyles, it's just now I feel like I could have put the money back into Cstyles and not feel like a dumbass.

Well girl, spit it out!! That helps. I recognize the shit you have to go through to make an account on some sites. Depending on how much I want it I struggle on or I just quit calling names.

Yeah I can appreciate what they do there (I myself make use of Sunsetsims and MATY), however--most of the posters there are definitely trying too hard to come off as tough and "badass", and more or less just come off as overcompensating, prepubescent...I'll use morons (to be nice).

I was considering donating some money to them, but with that attitude? I'm not surprised no one has been donating. Oh well, I'll see if I can come up with some money.

I can understand you CeCe i feel very sorry for you, anyway you try to help and show you care i am not registered at MATY only on sunset sims i am and i do not know with who i whas mailing but when i mailed to Sunset i always got a very nice friendly mail back, i feel very sorry about Sunset cause many people have only sunset to get all the expensive stuff from paysites so i would like to donate something for sunset but i will mail it to sunset where to donate to ? ? ? for sunset

Yeah, it's been like that for a long time Cece....I used to have an account when TS3 first came out and AwesomeMod was the only thing out there (thank the Gods for Nraas!), but then all of a sudden, about a year later, my account disappeared and it wouldn't let me re-register, doing the exact same things you described. The second question they ask is from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, btw.

Anywho, I hate Maty and I hate Pescado. Everyone over there are a bunch of immature assholes that need to get a life. I feel bad that you wasted your money on them. I remember awhile ago when Maty was having problems getting enough money to stay open and it's like, maybe if you would stop terrorizing people who, God forbid, don't know something that you think is so basic but really isn't, than maybe people would be more willing to donate....



Anywho...sorry, I just really hate that site.

It's sad that Sunset Sims is having problems because they were always great to the sims community, but as far as Maty goes, I wouldn't donate money to them because of their attitudes.
I had tried registering on Maty and got the same message, Cece. They strive to make people feel like idiots, but all I see is a bunch of immature and very rude "children" hiding behind their computers. End Rant.

Yep, I won't try to register again, I really have no other need to do anything on there so it's a mute point. But I still may be a dumbass...I thought MATY was affiliated with Sunset Sims thereby me donating money to them helped Sunset Sims.

Please don't tell me that I messed up and didn't donate to Sunset Sims at all...

Well somebody must have got this message over to Maty because they refunded my donation!! So now...to make sure that it goes directly to Sunset Sims!!

Me too...I don't know if they actually refunded or there was a hiccup with paypal but all I know is it's REFUNDED!! I was reading some of the threads over there and I can't believe how they speak to each other! Well, won't be back over there for sure!

The general attitude over there is beyond ridiculous, but I unfortunately cannot play my game without Awesome Mod (I've tried, but I can't. ). I also make heavy use of the store files provided, and they not only host the booty - but SunsetSims (they are located on their server) in addition to SimsCave.

Yeah, I heard about the hacking as well - thought that seems to be resolved. I don't think that you have to register to make a donation, but simply to get the forum badge.

I tried to register a few years ago (I forget why, I think I had some questions about Awesomemod), and they told me the same thing! I've heard nothing good about that site, so I stay away from it now. Plus, I switched to NRaas anyways.

I wish I could donate to Sunsetsims, but I have no money I hope everything turns out fine!

Yep I'm an HUGE fan of NRaas now!! I was terrified at first to use them because I had never used any mods like theirs in Sims 2, but they are truly amazing and their site is easy to maneuver and it seems like there are some truly great people that both run it and are members of it! ;)

I don't know what I would do without NRaas' mods! They have made my life 100 times easier. At first I was afraid to use mods, as well, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly

Usually when I remove Awesomemod from my game, I always find one thing or another that makes me go back to it. I think it's because it has a built in "no derp faces in CAS" thing, along with the slider increases and such and that's essentially all I use it for. >:

Ohmygosh, yes, I wish there was another way to keep sims still in CAS! Other mods that alter the facial animations in CAS are not compatible with Shimrod's Zoom-In-Cas Mod, and this is essential to me. X__X

Awesomemod+Shimrod = CAS perfection. I also appreciate the automatic filtering of only custom sims in the bin, the better genetic/skintone blending, etc etc etc. And this is just CAS stuff.

I use Master Controller and other NRAAS Mods in combination with Awesomemod, particularly because I like the SP - it does just enough without being as processor heavy as NRAAS SP.

Thanks Ameenah. I've never used Awesome Mod - do you know if it will conflict with Nraas Master Controller?

No problem! And nope, they don't conflict - but you can't really use it with Master Controller Integration. You can even use it with SP if you prefer NRAAS SP, you can disable Awesome Story Mode in the config file, but if it detects that NRAAS SP is installed, it will automatically disable its own SP.

Keep in mind if you use Awesome Mod, you have to make sure to follow the instructions given for uninstalling if you continue to play a save that was accessed/played/saved with Awesome Mod.

I use NRAAS Master Controller, Master Controller Cheats, Error Trap, Overwatch, and Register with Awesome Mod. There are a few tuning mods that conflict with Awesome Mod, but I've only encountered maybe a handful. I use quite a few tuning mods as well. Pretty much every NRAAS mod is compatible with Awesome unless otherwise stated, however quite a few of them that conflict conflict because they have the same function.

I do use Master Controller Integration because without it the extra sliders don't work. I"m looking for something that gives more control in CAS, like better close ups.

Awesome Mod includes a slider hack/range extender (you can toggle the range in the config file as well) - so you don't need both that and Integration.

I finally got around to installing Buhudain's camera mod and all I can say is WOW! What a huge difference in CAS. You can really get close up and things seem to move faster now. I can't imagine what I did without it. Of course, this means I have to edit a bunch of my sims now.

It's a seriously amazing mod! I honestly can't imagine my game without it. :D

The mod is valid for 1.50! It's actually safe to use from Pets-1.50 because EA's file hasn't changed since then. I confirmed it was compatible in the stickied Patch 1.50 thread, so others should hopefully see that as well.
