Hello I am new at posting on this forum, but I really it here. I don't have a high end laptop and some ppl advised me they didn't think my graphics card could handle the HQ mod, thats fine, would anyone have any advice on what kind of graphics card I should get? Here are my specs, thanks for any advice

RAM 6.00 (Just bout two twicks of 4 so the most I can have is 8.00)
64 Bit Operating System



INTEL (R) HD GRAPHICS 3000
CHIP TYPE INTEL (R) GRAPHICS FAMILY
DAC TYPE INTERNAL
APPROX MEMORY 1696 MB

I don't use this mod, but I know Buckoshort does, or has in the past because she once posted something on the officials about it. I don't know if she's a member of this forum, but you can probably leave a message at her blog: http://buckosims.blogspot.com/

Dach makes a HQ mod and if anybody knows how to probably give you a suggestion on graphic cards, it would be her. She is a member here so you can send her an pm and get some advice. Good luck!!  Oh...welcome to Cstyles!!! 

the hq mod is a mod that let you take nice pictures. that what it is for. so you put it in the subfolder where it belong, then you take your pictures , then after all that , you should put back in the subfolder the regular ea hg mod for regular game playing. so what that mean is you will take the pictures , then when you are done, quit stop the game, take out the hq mod . then put back in the regular hq mod for game playing. that what i thought one does with the hq mod. somone will tell more about it im sure.

Thanks for the info mamx, I think she is trying to figure out what would be the best graphic card for her computer so she can properly use the HQ mod.  If I'm wrong, I am sorry...but this is what I understood. Hopefully someone can give her some good advice. (I'm only assuming this is a 'her'...please correct me if I'm wrong)   

i think that exactly what she or he is asking yes. but i thought to put that other bit about the hq in too.

I only have the 4100 graphics card and i can handle the mod...i will say it wont blow up your computer trying and seeing...what it will do is make the game blurry if it cannot handle it...so here is the mod:

it comes in four different options...i would start in the middle and see how yours handles it...also the link is there for the EA version if you end up needing to revert back to it.

If you are wanting to replace your card seek assistance with that believe it or not a lot of stores that sell the graphics card will put it in free if you buy it there...ask their help what would be the best option for you.
