So for the past few weeks whenever Chris and I would go to a store that sells video games I've been checking to see if they have World Adventures. All the stores do have the game but I've been really hesitant to buy it. Today though Chris asked me if I would like the EP as part of my birthday present next month (since we dont do christmas) but for some reason I just cant get myself to say yes. I mean I know that some of the things that I do want from the EP are the photography, the simfu, and just the ability to send my sims to China (I love asian culture and such) but I've also heard alot of negative stuff about World Adventures. So I was hoping that you guys could help me decide if I should get this Ep or not. What are your thoughts on it? what do you love or hate about it? Do you have anything postive to say about it? All thoughts would be apperciated


I know I could have posted this on the forums, but I prob would just get WA sucks get Ambitions or Late Night and I already own those EPs. Plus here is just full of such wonderful people that I know you guys could help me make this decision!

I asked a lot of questions about this as well and was convinced to NOT purchase it. I got a good amount of pro but more con, plus seeing some of the glitches and bugs it carried I just didn't feel like being bothered with MORE crap than needed or wanted.

Well now that's totally embarrassing...I DON'T have a WA thread. Okay...going to create one now and THEN move it.

I own WA and I got bored with it about 2 hours into the game. The Simfu is fantastic and there is some interesting things to do. Exploring tombs and what have you. Overall though, it wasn't that great. I hated how long it took me to travel between locations in Shang Sim La. It felt like it took forever. I played a little of Al Simhara and Champs Les Sims and I like those places in regards to scenery. Otherwise...it's a bit boring. It's kind of like Bon Voyage, but you actually get to see the adventures they get up to.

Overall...if your into exploring and the activities part of Sims, then its good. It's very interactive in that sense. It's also much less glitchy than Ambitions :D

Ok so I bought World Adventures and have played it only for a little while as it takes ages to complete and i couldn't be bothered lol. It's lovely scenery and playing in the tombs and fishing for crocodiles is fun but it's not quite worth the money I paid.

Fast Lane has some lovely clothes and gorgeous cars so in my opinion it's worth buying.

Yeah the whole getting bored with it thing and all the glitches like losing my family when installing those are like some of the big reasons why I wouldn't want to get it. But back in my sims 2 days one of my favorite EPs was Bon voyage just because I loved being able to send my sims on honeymoons and family vacations and I'm worried that they may not come out with another EP like that and WA will have to be my substitue and then they'll be no more when I go to get it. This is why I hate making decisions lol!

@CeCe thanks for moving it! I had only put it in the sims 3 general discussion because like u noticed at the time you didn't have a WA spot and I didn't know where else to put it! :lol:
