I am so tired of the celeb stars I have a sims that just got married and happy happy!! Problem...those darn celeb stars! They are on their honeymoon in France and were having a great time being together and someone put out that she got caught WooHooing in public..total untruth. Everyone started booing her and I had to send them to Base Camp to read..naturally her mood dropped but she is still happy. This is the third time someone has lied on her, this crap is really getting old.

First time she lost the suit when when she filed, second time she got to push it on to a classmate that made fun of her the first time, this time....she's away from home...so guess she'll have to wait till she gets back if it's still showing and try to get it off her.

Sorry to ramble but has anyone else had problems with celeb stars?? Short of replacing her with a copy I don't know how to stop these celeb stars, it seems they're out to ruin her!!

Mine get the stars when they start school. This young lady likes to socialize. Every Field Trip she went on in school she would make friends with celebs, be it adults or children and Bam, stars, oh well. I may just have to go back to just dealing with adults and leave the kids off for now. Sure wish EA would make this a option for us people that don't want to be bothered with the Celebs to opt out.

By the way they are back home and her mood is back up! Hate her honeymoon got ruined though. Think I'll leave them living with her mom and dad awhile longer, maybe I can help keep her out of trouble, for now anyway(LOL)

Aww that sucks, my Sims are social too and always get stars and I too wish there was a way to suppress getting them.

The only way to get rid that I've read is using a Mod that I don't won't to get into. I think I'll try using the Loner trait for the kids for a while next time and see if that works. Never used it on the kids before but the adults.

I've had this problem myself. Also as when the kid makes friends with a famous parent, they get famous, and when they move out, I'll have them doing a really low paid job to attempt to do up their tiny apartment, when an opportunity comes up worth 3,000. Craziness. Although not having the appliances break every 5 minutes was nice

I also have that problem (so frustrating) It's always so annoying because whenever my sims go anywhere, other sims in town interrupt what they are doing to ask for autographs and take photos and everything. I wish I knew how to keep them out of the spotlight. I miss being able to just simply play the game

I had the same problem, so I downloaded nraa's Master Controller, which lets you change the status of a single sim, a household, or the entire town. I had to do this for vampires, too, because they were overrunning the town!
