Graphics Tablet Magic!

Here's my first full head hair drawing using my new graphics tablet. It was kind of rushed, since I was just trying it out. So ignore the flaws, but overall I'm pretty proud of it. It's amazing how little time it takes to draw using a tablet vs. a mouse. I usually spend about 3-5 hours alone on hair when using the mouse. This took maybe 20 minutes (even though it was rushed). A detailed, perfected version couldn't take more than 30 or 40 minutes!

What I did:
- Minimal Body Contouring, Shading, & Highlighting
- Drew Hair from a Bald Sim.

OMG Evie that's amazing! You have such talent! :D I wish it was that easy to put hair on Sims in-game lol I'd have the hair I wanted for every Sim XD

Hey, I didn't see this thread until...right this moment! Heheh. I saw the pictures when you posted them on Facebook though. Smile

It looks great! A tablet definitely helps a LOT - you get pressure sensitivity and line variation, it's awesome.

It's probably silly to leave a critique here, but I think it would be helpful. Smile

I would try to pick a light source, to help you "light" the hair and head - some areas in shadow, some areas in light. Right now, all of the hair has a very uniform light on it. For instance, the hair behind the right side of her face would probably be in shadow. Also, keeping some areas more detailed and some areas softened will add to the realism. That same area of hair would also probably be less detailed with maybe a few highlights.

That is awesome! I have not drawn hair in so long! You make me want to try it again. I just got my new paint program from Amazon today. I think I will try tonight. Again, great job!!

I wish I can learn how to draw hair on sims. I tried it once and it was very hard and couldn't do it. These are just amazing! Really love how you make your photos. I am big fan of your Sims as well.
