Thanks Mamx! It's really helpful to see pictures of all the items in CAS to get a better idea of what's included and what it *really* looks like. I actually do like a lot of the clothing meshes, just without the stencils. I'll probably grab them in extracted base-game compatible form from Simblr, though, because I am deeply frightened by the hairstyles. :O

Yeah, I noticed they included a plain version of a lot of the pieces, which is nice. I feel weird missing a pack, but there are a few too many things that I don't want in my game included in this set. It was a really fun idea, and I wish that they had included more 90s stuff - might have pushed me to get it. I find it ridiculous that they stated on Twitter that their artists found it "difficult" to make afros. -_____-

OMG Ameenah I was just getting ready to post about the NO afro's included!! Geez please people...how in the world do you release a sp depicting these era's and not have one single afro...I mean...how freaking hard can it be with the so called talent they supposedly have employes there at Ea. I "might" have been tempted to add this to my game, but I see nothing that depicts any of the Black/African American people of that era. Ok...rant over. I'm all smiles now!

EA need a better history lesson. How can I do Diana Ross & the Supremes without Afros?? LOL The only two things I love about this pack is the animated walls and the animated dance floor. I'm going to ask someone to just give me that. That is all I want. :/

I don't want to sound like a nag, but I am seriously dissapointed that Ea didn't put much effort into trying to incorporate Black hairstyles and really Black clothing for those era's. Oh well...what can you... I truly think the entire game just really left out different ethnicities too much. Maybe it's just me, but if you notice I haven't really uploaded any of my sims in awhile because I just get bummed using the same old hairs and that makes my sims look all too familar to each other. Ok...second rant over with! Happy face time!

I don't blame you for being disappointed, Cece. I think there were so many opportunities with this stuff pack, but instead they didn't think about it or as Ameenah had posted, the "artists" had a difficult time making afros. Maybe they should have asked RoboKitty(KittyKlan) for some advice. Seriously though, the supposed curly hairstyles they gave us with Seasons were really bad. I heard one simmer refer to one of the hairstyles as a "hair collar". Ok, my rant is over. Deep breath...time to catch up on shows that I missed last night.

LOL...I saw Hammer on New Year's Rockin' Eve...dollop Clark was missed this year. I saw people of all shades with fro's growing up. I kind of forfeited the tv tonight to my daughter, Dee. She's watching American Idol. I missed my shows (Supernatural & Arrow) last night, too. I'm really not liking Idol right now. Thought it was pretty funny that EA included peg-leg jeans with the new SP. I remember girls wearing their pants like that when I was in junior high. I'm still wondering where the jelly bracelets are. Madonna made those famous, along with the mesh tops with black bras underneath and the boy-toy belt. My cousin was a big fan of Madonna...lol.

Are you thinking of platform sandals/platform shoes? I had a pair of sandals when I was in 6th grade (I think), although they weren't really platforms...too low. They were mini-platforms, I guess. ;) Loved Duran Duran, Hall & Oates, New Edition. Didn't watch soaps, but I knew who Luke and Laura were. Too much pastels and neons in the 80's. Once I was able to pick out my own clothing, my wardrobe was mainly black jeans, t-shirts, flannel, and sneakers. The only thing about mens clothes that irritated me was the baggy pants. The ones that walked around with their waist band around their legs and boxers. I always had to fight the urge to offer them suspenders or a belt.

The only thing I can think of is the granny boots. There were a couple of girls who wore them when I was in senior high. Lace-up leather boots with a wooden heel. I used to like the shirts with the 3/4 sleeves. My favorite had a picture of Garfield the cat on it. ;) Nikes with the powder blue swoosh, and Lee jeans. Once I got to high school, I stopped wearing dresses and skirts.

The mullet was awful! Always reminds me of Billy Ray Cyrus...ick. Bell bottoms in the 70's and plaid pants. For my kindergarten class picture, my mom made me wear a pair of brown jeans and a shirt with strawberries all over it. Hair into pigtails and don't remember the shoes. She always said I looked like Buffy from Family Affair because my ponytails always hung in ringlets.

Thankfully, I never wore the wide legged bell bottoms...I think my aunt used to call them elephant leg pants. Mine were bigger at the ankles, but not that wide. I remember the polyester pants...I always snagged mine. That was one of the nice things about the 80's. Polyester and bell bottoms went out of fashion.
