Okay so I decided to retexture Lapiz Lazuli's Night Springs, Laplace and Blue 'cause they're all awesome and one of the few good looking (non anime-y) male hairs I could find. And from what I understand, he doesn't want his mesh included in retextures and so I'll respect that...I just have no idea how to not include the mesh?

If anyone here knows and is willing to tell me how I'd appreciate it very much. I've looked around google/modthesims and a few other sites but I couldn't find a tutorial/whatever. ALSO I APOLOGIZE IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG SECTION I HAD NO IDEA WHERE TO PUT IT. ALSO I AM SORRY IF I AM BEING ANNOYING IT IS UNFORTUNATELY PART OF MY PERSONALITY. Also hot damn my model is hot.

Edit: I /may/ have figured it out. Hopefully it's just as simple as deleting everything that isn't an image file in S3Pe...<:
Edit2: It looks like it works...I crashed once although I can't be sure it was the hair...if anyone wants to test it I'll put it up in a bit.

If there are any brave people out there willing to test out this retexture (mesh not included in it; you'll need to download it from Lapiz's blog), I'd appreciate it! :D

Put my texture in your Overrides folder , although I'm not sure if that folder is absolutely needed. This way worked for me though.

That's a great looking retexture again! As well as a HAWT model!!
I hope you can figure out how to not include the mesh, as I don't have any idea how to retexure hairs myself, or even more how to not include the hair mesh, LOL

Okay, I've tested the retexture in my game and it works!!

I downloaded the original hair first and installed it in my game


After that I downloaded and installed your texture and installed it in my game.
I also checked the SIms dashboard and there was no conflict, so that was the first OK.
So here's a pic, same model, some color combination, same pose, same lighting and you can see the texture is different from the original hair in the first pic.


So....YESSS!! I would say!!

So apparently deleting the **** out of everything does indeed work in some cases.
