| Subject: (SOLVED) Need some help with sliders!!! February 9th 2013, 5:33 am | |
| Hey everyone, so here's the thing. I use a macbook air and I have installed sliders + hack, when I open the game and chose "random sims" I get the most alienated sims there are. Tall, short, fat, big head, huge bum, small head, huge body. etc. When I try to find the sliders I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find them? I know they are there as I get the weird sims when I press the random sims button. Sorry for my bad English, I hope someone understand what I'm saying. |

| Hi Heleen! I moved this thread to tech support. I know this sounds silly to ask, but before I give any advice, do you have a slider hack installed? This is a mod (often a core mod) that allows you to have extra sliders in your game. Make sure that 1.) You have a slider hack and 2.)It matches your patched version of the game before doing any troubleshooting - because having an incorrect version is bound to cause problems. Depending on which custom sliders you have installed, they will show up in different areas of CAS. Most of the body sliders should show up in the general "mouth section." |

| I'm not sure about how mac computers work or how to solve issues on mac computers, but at least the basic sliders in CAS should be visible, like these in the "eye section" for instance. |

| If you're asking where the sliders are, they should show up in your game whether you have a hack or not but they may not all work. Most of the custom sliders are in the general sections of the mouth and head areas for sliders. But if you mean why your sims show up strangely when you randomize....lol well that happens when you have certain sliders installed. They aren't EA sliders so they just randomize at sometimes extreme levels. That happens to me too. |

| Sliders + Random Sims = really weird and freaky sims...I LOVE it!! But it could be something as common as that once you locate your sliders. Check out the suggestions before we assume there is an error in your game! ;) I usually take pics when I come across the really weird ones!! |

| What hack did you install? Do you mean that you installed Master Controller? If you choose to use NRAAS Master Controller as your slider hack, uou need to download both Master Controller and Master Controller Integration, or you will not be able to use the extra sliders in the regular CAS accessed from Edit Town. By default, Master Controller alone only adds extra slider functionality from the "Edit Sim in CAS" option accessed from the NRAAS menu in game. By installing the Master Controller Integration add-on, you allow all CAS links to be replaced by NRAAS, adding the extra slider functionality. Of course, make sure that you are patched up to date and that your mod version matches your patch version. What sliders have you downloaded and where did you place the files? You might also want to try re-downloading the sliders. Have you had difficulty with other package files? |

| I don't no very much about MAC computers, I'm not even sure about the "My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages" path as this is a "windows-path" me thinks, so I'm not sure if it will work for a MAC computer creating a folder and putting mods in there |

| You can most definitely install mods on a Mac, albeit, certain programs and bugs arise - but you can. Actually, there are even a few creators who play on a Mac, granted, they run a Windows partition to access certain programs involved with creating. The location should be: /Users/ /Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/
If you can get a copy of Windows, I strongly recommend installing it on your machine with Bootcamp - just because you can't (to my knowledge) merge packages with S3PE or properly use CC Magic, limiting you to mostly sims3packs. If you have limited downloads, then this is not as much of an issue. |

| The NRaas Menu only shows up in game. For instance when you click on the the City Hall (there's more options to choose from), or by clicking on your sim, as there should be a NRaas menu option available. I hope this helps I'm glad you got all the sliders working, by the way! Yayyyy!! |

| Yes, that's awesome! Yes, Eva is right about the NRAAS menu. If you want "permanent" settings, almost every NRAAS module comes with an optional tuning file. For instance, if you want to set your slider range at "3x" permanently, you would download the tuning file for Master Controller. Although, I am unsure of how to go about editing packages on a Mac. So you probably should stick to in-game tuning. |

| :D Thank you Cece! :D I'm afraid to share her just because I've edited most of the CC she uses (her skin was blended using various parts of Navetsea's, for one) to make her more accurate, and I'd probably be stepping on a lot of creator's toes. |
