So far, I'm really loving Master Controller, but I have one question. How do I increase the slider range? 1x isn't enough for me. I need to be able to have at least 2x, but 3x is what I'm more used to. Is there a way to increase it before actually selecting a house? I hope I'm explaining this properly.

what i do is use cmar
i put in
cmar xcas sliding tuning slidersx4

and

cmar xcas tuning sliders numbers100

for some reason we nee the really high numbers for the men sims.that what i read.something about the face and mouth

maybe im doing it wrong mmmm
mastercontroller is

The mod increases the maximum allowable facial sliders displayed in each panel to 100. In the past, doing such required a Core-Mod. Ensure that you have Integration installed if you decide to exceed the EA maximum or you will have troubles in "Edit Town".

and you need integration mod too it seem but i used the cmar instead is why i think

mastercontroller has advanced it seems so now im not sure i need cmar now. just master controller and integration oh noooooo i need to read read read um my poor head


so im reading this which makes me wonder now
If you attempt to run CAS from "Edit Town", you are running the EA version of CAS, which does not handle more sliders properly.

one thing i think is right is that cmar and nrass dont conflict

I'll give that a try. I just wanted to make sure that cmar's slider range wouldn't conflict with Master Controller. I have Integration installed and my sliders are working great, but they only have 1x range. I'll try putting in cmar's 3x range and go from there. Thanks, dear!

Integration will partially conflict with CMar's core mod as far as I know. It conflicts with other core slider hacks, or doesn't work as intended, so I wouldn't do this. If you go with XCAS, you should uninstall Integration.

You don't need to use XCAS to get access to an increased slider range, you need to download the tuning file for Master Controller. The specific file on that page is called "NRaas_MasterController_Tuning_P5.zip"

Once you've downloaded and unzipped the file, you need to open it in S3PE. Make sure you have Display Names and Tags checked.

You will see an _XML file in the package, click on this to select it. Right click and select "Notepad." This will pull up a Notepad window within S3PE that allows you to edit the contents of the file. There are a lot of Global Options you can set here - there are comments written beneath each feature, but right now we just want to change our slider range.

Look for this text:

    </kSliderMultiple>
You want to change the value, like this:

 <kSliderMultiple value="3">
      <!--A multiple used to increase the min/max range of facial sliders-->

If you want to change the Multiplier for the EA Body Sliders (Weight, Muscle), you can set this as well, separately, scroll down further in the file:

    <kBodySliderMultiple value="1">
      <!--A multiple used to increase the min/max range of body sliders-->
    </kBodySliderMultiple>
Change it the same way, to whatever value you want, let's go with "2":

    <kBodySliderMultiple value="2">
      <!--A multiple used to increase the min/max range of body sliders-->
    </kBodySliderMultiple>
After you have made your changes click the "X" on the Notepad window. It will prompt you to save, go ahead and click "Save." It will ask you if you want to Commit Changes, click "Yes." Go to File>Save. Your Tuning package is now ready and can be dropped into your Mods>Packages folder along with your other NRaas Mods. It's not necessary to put this file in the "Overrides" folder, but if this is the way you install your mods, it will also work perfectly fine placed in this directory.

This can also be done from the pie Menu in-game, but setting it that way will not apply globally and will get reset fairly easily. If you set this option through tuning, it will be automatic and global - so you won't have to worry about it when you start your game.

Also, even though most NRaas Mods are updated with each patch, the tuning files rarely get updated - because they only need to be changed if the Mod adds a ton of new tunable features. In other words, when you update Master Controller/Integration for the next patch, you will likely be able to keep the SAME Master Controller Tuning.package Smile

If it's confusing, I can edit the file and upload it for you. Just let me know what you want me to set the values to and if you want to set any other global defaults.

Ok...I'm thoroughly confused. If you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate it if you could upload the tuning file. I use my sliders at a 3x range. I can't think of anything else that I need adjusted globally. I really appreciate this, Ameenah. Thank you so much! Big smile

wow so that why i used cmar things and not integration , that for me is simplest i think, and it will let me use teh big range i hope!
the whole edit in town thing that confusing. so do i get the most slider options or not?ahh
as for simpe i can do that yeah. mmmm

how are we able to switch abe sims3 in brideport with the---NEW- abe sims brideport madeover simmie? i have no idea if it possible or is it that we just need to make them over in game ohh

I'm going to be giving Stella a makeover later today and possibly looking to makeover Matthew Hamming and Rafael Striker. I think I can change relationships (Richie and Matthew are BFF's) with Master Controller.

eeks bridgeport so hard to place lots on why. i needed to put in hangout an elixars but seem there nowhere to put them ? am i forgetting something?

So, I am slow, and I wasn't sure whether or not you wanted the Body Sliders multiplied as well, so I'll just upload two files. :D

OR
ONLY Facial Sliders Set to 3X: Download

Pick either file and just drop it in with your other mods. Clear your ScriptCache and you should be good to go. Smile Let me know if it works!

It's not a tuning mod, it's a tuning package that sets a preference in Master Controller - that is already installed. Unless you install XCAS for a specific purpose (Eva uses it because it gives her a slightly extended eyelash range), it's tidier to just have one mod in your game - it's one less thing to update when you patch, for instance. So, you don't have to add an additional mod to your game. Smile

Also, XCAS adds 100 sliders total while MC adds 100 sliders per facial area (So you get something closer to 1000). Reaching the 100 slider max sounds impossible, but if you use the eyelash sliders, body sliders, breast sliders, hat sliders, glasses sliders, etc, including all the new sliders that have been coming out lately - it's actually possible for you to exceed this limit. Actually, there are cases where you can have under 100 sliders total - but if you have too many categorized in the same facial area, let's say more than 20 categorized for the mouth area, you might get some broken sliders. Insane, I know. So, if you can settle with MC, you have the flexibility of knowing you will never actually reach the slider limit.

I personally don't use Master Controller Integration, because I use Awesome Mod as my slider hack (I have it for other reasons as well) - but if I was not using Awesome, I would use Integration.

NRAAS mods have been pretty indispensable to me in reducing game bugs and overall lag - however, technically every Script mod you add to your game adds a tiny bit of overhead processing. The more you have installed, the more your machine has to work. It makes sense to me to do things in the most "efficient" way that demands the least amount of processing from your PC - so if you can have one mod instead of two, it's ideal. There's also less of a chance for potential conflict.

Of course, ultimately, what works best for you is the best solution for your game! Smile For instance, I tried for a long time to also see if I could simply install Master Controller Integration instead of using Awesome, as I already use Master Controller. However, for me, I was also taking advantage of a lot of other features included in Awesome Mod that I would either have to install multiple NRaas mods to accomplish - or lose certain features altogether. So I settled on using both in combination.

Anyway, /end rant!

Thank you so much, Ameenah! hiho I guess I only had the face sliders, because when I went to adjust the sims weight up to about halfway, she ballooned out. Switching now, because that just freaked me out. eek

I'm slowly working my way up with slider range. I actually started out with 2x. I might eventually make it to 6x. laughing I have MC and Integration, too. Still getting the hang of it, but I like it so far.

6x wow that quite high, thougt that 4 x was the limit huh

Elvira Slayer a little makeover huh wow she is freaky looking for sure.she is beau merrick enemy. she really does need some kind of makeover. not sure how she looks the way she does gosh. so unlike the ea sims wow.

Master Controller literally lets you go as high as you want, *I think* - although at a certain point, the mesh just explodes. O__O

I use 5x, but that's only because that's the limit on Awesome. If I used MC, I probably would also use 6x because I do actually hit the limit with some sliders at 5x - awT's philtrum sliders and Ahmad's Chin Width slider have really modest ranges, so even at 5x, I can max these out easily.

I think the range can go up to 10 on MC laughing That's how i got my exploding fat sim in the "Your doing it Wrong" post that was floating around here back in 2012.
