This challenge I think should become very interesting and funny if we get enough people to participate!
I don't know what made me think of this...maybe it's my nerdy self trying to explore the complexities of life! Lol!
So I asking...have you ever wondered, "what made them come up with this name for this product"...because it just doesn't explain itself?

Here's a few of mine! Members and Guest welcome to participate!

Ok...I can understand names like 'lightbulb' self explanatory. And dishwashing liquid, door knob, hairstyle and icecream cone. These all make sense but these just don't.

Toilet paper...just makes no sense to me. So you clean your arse with it after using the toilet, but you don't 'read' it before you use it. Kind of a crude word of a name for something so personal.
I think something like, 'non reusable' arse wipes or doodie wipes.

Q-tip...what the fudge?! Just a 'whatever just name it' kind of name. There is no trademark 'Q' on the tip so where did that come from?

Cotton balls make sense.
Of course if you pull apart the words then it becomes kind of naughty!

DVD disc...makes sense.

Bed sheets...no sense. So who decided that the coverlet on our bed's should be called 'sheets'? The bed can't read or play music so why would you name this covering 'sheets'?
Why not something like, ...hmm...no...I think I'm going to have to get back to you on this one.

Mascara...definitely a no win...the word has NOTHING to do with lash extension.

Pantyhose...makes sense...but seems kind of 'sexual'. Just pull the words apart...'panty' & 'hose'. Why wasn't it named 'pantystockings'.

Condom...WThamsandwich?! Where does anywhere in this name explain the purpose for condoms.

Let me see what you come up with!
