Seeing as how I don't get much feedback on Tumblr I should probably stick to a community that responds. I've been getting really bummed out about not receiving feed back on my ideas. I challenged myself to make a recolourable tattoo and I did it, so now I want to try my hand at clothing. Having a small child I am infatuated with the Next line of kids clothing ( and pretty much everything about their stuff especially there homewares), what I'd like to do is have a go at making a couple of their T's with recolourable patterns and designs if I can fathom it out. Being a complete and utter noob at this kind of stuff I figured out I should probably start out with something simple like a fully recolourable pattern. I'm using this as my inspiration: I've created my plaid/tartan/check pattern and I'm now working on the channels in photoshop to try and get it working. I've also got a texture for it but I'm not sure how to incorporate it, probably with the white in the design? It's just a white overlay with nothing else. Plain PatternTextured Pattern I have no idea if this is the right place for this but I just need some advice/feedback/encouragement.

You can place this sort of information here, but you might get a better result as far as feedback and suggestions by posting future inquiries here FEEDBACK & CRITIQUE...it will just let folks know that you are wanting feedback on your projects. Now, I love what you plan to do and I see that you are going in a great direction. I know nothing about actual creations like this but I commend you on your effort and obvious wonderful results! Now, will this be for only little boys or can you put like pinks and more yellows in for little girls? I like the plaid design and that the plaid is not so checkered. Also, I think little trunk/board shorts would be awesome with this design!!!

At the moment I'm just looking at boys stuff but I'm sure I should be able to convert it once I figure it out. I've worked the channels so it should be re colorable. I'd like to try the whole range, it's kinda like polo style shirts and country clubs kinda thing. Would you be able to move the topic to the feedback section for me please?

Thank you Cece, I was just about to post my first in game result! Got it figured using Create a Pattern, looks like I need to scale it down a little for kids so here are my results on a standard T-Shirt as I currently have no CC installed on the Mac (it has a habit of hating Sims 3) Standard Size PatternRescaled PatternI guess the next thing would be to find a suitable mesh or try and make my own, at the moment its a bit hard to do that with Ethan running around my ankles and causing havoc, so I think I'll opt for find a mesh and asking the creator. OR I could make it recolourable ... which I could probably do pretty easily now I know how to use CAP. What do you think?

I'm not seeing the pictures. Maybe it's Firefox...I will switch out to chrome later and see if that is the problem!! Glad to see you moving along with this!! I know there is a creator who includes the mesh so it can be used by others. If I come across it I will post it for you!!

The pattern is the same, the layout is just standard create a pattern. You can test your design out before you put it in game. I'm working my button off and I'm enjoying it!
