I was thumbing through the officials and found this thread....very informative if you didn't know already...which I didn't.

Mine had over 2000 items!! 60MB!! Deleted that shit right away! And I've never even logged into the online stuff!

The in-game advertising and featured items folder really bloats your game. Not saying this will work for everyone, but it did work for me. I found a tutorial on Crincrit's site which keeps EA from reloading pictures in the featured items folder. If anyone is interested, you can find it here, but I suggest reading through the whole thing before trying it.

OMG, thank you for posting. My folder had 2,266 items in it. Gone now. And thanks Kat for the link to edit the properties of the folder to denying writing to it.

Wow, thank you Kash and Kat!! I have always wondered what the purpose of that particular file was for, unknown

now I know and have deleted. I had over 1,450 items in that folder and I just started my game brand new after doing a reinstall!!! I will def try the method of 'hopefully' stopping it entirely. humana

Word of warning...be sure to only delete Ea files as some (3rd party cc) thumbnails are listed here as well. I'm glad I didn't empty my trash bin!! Any who...can tell the difference already in game play...wonderful!! humana

I stumbled across it after Showtime came out while searching for something else...can't remember what. I thought others knew about it or I would have shared it sooner. When I saw Kash's post, I thought, "Wow...something I can actually help with." Smile
