I love decorating my Sims houses. I think I spend more time decorating than I do playing the game. I have vowed to change this, however here's a couple of shots from my Sims townhouse in Bridgeport.

Here's a little corner (I'm really good at decorating little corners lol) Really I'm not that's why I said it. When I decorate my Sims houses I really have fun with that resizer omsp thing.

I put the plants on it to make them bigger.

I've since changed this room around quite a bit but can't find the screenshots atm I added the yoga mat and my sim can do her exercising here.

Have you guys heard of the yoga mat? It's a fully functional yoga mat for exercise.

I MUST find this! Now...issue at hand, in all fairness you should not be the only one posting...so....I'm going to dig out some pics of some of my rooms and post them!! I'm not as talented as Mysims...but I am proud of my work! I LOVE fixing up a good corner room...but I so SUCK at finding a true way to express my room other than putting a plant in the corner!! Prepare for some serious PIC SPAM...coming soon to this post!! humana

lol @ your comment about putting a plant in the corner. That's the best way to decorate! I look forward to seeing other people's decorating.

Oh also the yoga mat is at MTS but their site is down for maintenance or I would link it here. It's recolourable and your sim gets athletic skill using it.

The thing is, I don't follow any decorating rules. I don't have a name for this style or that style. I just put a whole bunch of stuff in the room and then I try to match it all together. Embarassed

I haven't got any 'real' shot's of any one particular place...I do have some 'in game' while still decorating shots though. Here is a couple:

This is my first house I built using the blue prints. I wanted to do something of a Latino/Hispanic flair...with a touch of Mid Western. Don't know if I accomplished that or not...never got that house completed.

More finished on the basement level than upper level. I have an indoor gym, sauna and massage room. (not pictured) Then beside that I have the hobby/arts room, and beside that is the study. On the other side of the study is the den. (not pictured)

I've never used the blue prints application-thing.

Actually I rarely build my own houses! I mostly just move my Sims into an existing house and re-build it and decorate it.

Your decorating is awesome. I really like the master bedroom and bathroom. Love the warm colours.

You all decorate so much better than I do. I just plop sims into a house and gradually add things here and there over time. Great pics! Smile

Kat I used to do that!! When it (Sims 3) first came out, I started, cheat free and purchased a tiny little place for my very first Sim couple! Of course their family grew as did their house and the most fun was re-decorating the house. I also use to be spoiled and would download other creator's houses ALL the time! I bet your decorations are beautiful!!
