I'm changing things up a bit. This contest is dragging slower than a turtles shoelaces so I've cut the number of entries to 10. I've posted this on TS3 already. I'm really anxious to get this contest up and rolling so spread the word please!








I’m hosting a contest here on Cstyles!!

It’s going to have a bit of the old with a bit of the new.
This contest will be a spin off of America’s Next Top Model with a bit of America’s Got Talent.

How so…you may ask. Well here is the deal.

I will allow 10 contestants to enter.

After the first assignment is given, the first judging will eliminate 2 contestants. This is just to clearly see the level of talent and how far we can take the contestants.

The second assignment will also eliminate 2 contestants purely based on scoring.

After that there will only be 1 elimination per assignment.

These assignments will vary shoot to shoot and will allow only basic editing skills. However…and it’s a big HOWEVER…you will be expected to really show your picture taking skills. I want detail, color schemes, and poses. I want you to work with clutter, backgrounds and creativity.

Now, on the judging part, there will be NO judging… at least not by me or anyone else.

What we will have is public voting for the winner. That’s right…NO SCORES! The eliminations will be based solely on the number of your votes! Now you may ask why do I need to see so much detail and quality, it’s because you will be critiqued on your photo’s.

Myself, and I will ask 2 others to be your ‘Critic’s. Our comments will be on each and every photo and will tell you what we like and dislike as well as how we think you can improve on your next shoot.

The contest will begin when we reach our 10 contestants and when I have found the 2 Critic’s.

Now, if this contest goes well I will host a cycle 2 and it will be for Male Sims and it will be Cstyles SimSir


Now as for the way people can vote. The voting system will be set up like a poll. At the top of the page for each assignment, there will be a poll/vote, there others will be able to vote on your Sim. When the voting time ends, then results will be revealed and you will then see your winners.

The Critic’s comments will be revealed after the voting is done and will be for the remaining contestants.
After you view your Critic’s comments feel free to comment if you like but your comment will NOT be replied to. It’s just giving you a chance to have a say.
When you read your comments, please just note on the thread that you have read it even if you don’t want to leave an actual comment.
We then move on to the next assignment.

ANYONE can enter this contest!! I don’t care if you are a staff member you can still enter this contest because I don’t make any final decisions. I can vote, but I will keep my choices to myself. It will be a fair vote and you can prompt your friends to vote for you if you like and you can vote for yourself if you want to!

Let’s keep it fair! Now the hard part comes with extensions…there won’t be any allowed. This is because the way the voting takes place, there will be a specific day the voting ends therefore to delay it would be near impossible since it will be preset.

So if you don’t get your assignment in, obviously you can’t be voted on so you will disqualify yourself. Now keep in mind, if you disqualify yourself you hurt others because there will still be an elimination based on the lowest scores.

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS OF BEING ABLE TO PARTICIPATE TILL THE END OF THE CONTEST.

If I get more than 2 dropouts I will terminate the contest entirely and you will look like a poo headed turd for ending the contest!!
Now real life and emergencies will def be reason to make arrangements if needed.
So feel free to sign up, get your place, no, I don’t take reserves, either you are in it or you are not…simple.

Each assignment will be different, but I will also leave the floor at the end of each assignment for ‘suggestions for next assignment’. Doesn’t mean it will be used, but it also means that it could be.

Contestants are NOT allowed to leave a suggestion for a shoot.

Any questions just leave it in this thread and I will answer you as soon as I can.

Oh harshness on the drop-out rule there, life does get in the way for real sometimes. But anyways this looks like a cool contest. Hope you get the entries I'll definitely be in lurk mode.

Not really harsh, imo...just wanting to keep it real RD. I've seen too many contest go belly up due to so many dropouts. It's not fair to the people who really are into the contest. I don't want the contest to drag on forever so that's why it's so strict...not harsh hon....just strict but still strictly fun!

Plus...if I promise to be here to the end, that's all I'm asking of those joining. Real life I can understand also and that will be taken into consideration of course. :800:

When I start getting entries then I will make a new thread titled, 'Contestants Entries' and that will be the thread that you will post your Sim on.

I will also have the added information required listed in that thread such as, models name, short bio and anything of interest you want to add. :lol:

Since this contest will have no major editing required it will be fairly easy to work on your assignments. So I'm thinking depending on the assignment, it can be anywhere from 4 days to 7 days. The amount of editing you put into the assignment is up to you so you will just have to take that into consideration when you decide what you want to do.

This way the contest doesn't drag on forever and it stays current and exciting!

I think strict is what I meant by harsh. You've got some pretty set in stone rules that aren't so bendable. I personally couldn't enter a contest like that. I don't take classes at school where the teachers are like if you have more than two absences its an automatic F... strict harsh whatever label you want to put on it I'm just a bit more loosey goosey is all. Wasn't trying to be offensive or anything.

I was not offended RD...not at all. I just wanted to explain to you that 'harsh' or 'hard' was not my intention, but yes, strict is. I'm looking at this in a fair way such as one, you will have people who will enter that will be throughly excited and eager to take the competition as far as they can. When you get someone in that is lackluster then it takes away from the others who have invested more.

I've seen some competitions that some have joined one day and either later that day or the next they are dropping out. If I say I will commit myself to this competition until the very end, you basically are taking my word for it. You don't want me giving excuse upon excuse as to why this was not done, completed or whatever nor do you want me to start this comp and half way through decide I'm quitting.

That's why I truly do appreciate those that have replied and stated they are truly thinking about joining, they are weighing the pro's and con's and factoring in real life to see if they can not only commit to the comp but stay with it.

Comps lose some of there excitement when it's stretched out too far and you've got those that are eager and sometimes the day the assignment is given they turn their assignment in.

Just thought I'd explain a little bit to you. Of course, real life will def be taken into consideration if something need be delayed, but if I put, 'extensions given if needed' then whats the point of me giving a deadline for each assignment.

To drop out is one thing, to have a problem is another. I view those two things totally different. :105:

I have real life, this site and now this comp and maybe a situation may arise that I need some time, that is real life, I just don't think the contestants would appreciate me if I continually had to delay delay delay either posting scores or giving assignments. That's all hon!

ok cant keep sims running enough to make a charcter need to get me freakin memory cards bad lol so im out of competion tho id love to see if i could have done good in it but ill be able to see the creations wont i hope
