The question is... is it even possible ? Cuz i just moved to my newly created household in sunset valley, and before that i accidentally chose for my sim to be a superstar actor as a lifetime wish. I''ve been reading daily newspapers for 2 weeks now and i can't still find the option to sign up for an actor

You have the option of profession or career, just change to profession (I think) if not then it's career and choose. You find these options on the computer! If I have relayed this wrong I'm sure somebody will correct me!

There is that option that CeCe mentioned, but also, is there a Studio lot in Sunset Valley? If there is no studio in the neighbourhood, then the job will not pop up, as there is no place for the sim to work. All you need to do is go to Edit Town, find a vacant lot and then click on the pre-made lots/houses community type lots and move the Studio lot in. Hopefully that should do the job :D

I was thinking the same thing myself so I'm glad this came up...also there aren't any celebrities in Sunset Valley so I'm wondering if that's something only Bridgeport has along with the press or if its me who's not doing something right like maybe you have to import them like we did with the vampires?

EEk! Well that was a bigger question than I thought! But it does make sense that you would need to transfer some things from Bridgeport. I'm just gonna sit back and watch this thread for more answers as I want to move my Sims back to Sunset Valley but with the options that Bridgeport hold. I mean, I still want nightclubs but I will also need bouncers and bartenders so I need to learn all of this as well.

Yeah like miss Lochness mentioned I believe you have to place the studio lot down and then the game should spawn some co-workers for you but your family might be the first celebrity family -I could be wrong about that though.

Also CeCe if you want to move your family the SV and you want nightclubs, when you go to edit town under the community lots tab all the nightclubs that are in bridgeport are located there you just have to make sure you place down lots big enough to support them. Sorry I'm not sure if you knew that already or not.

It worked, i mean placing the studio lot in sunset valley. But there were some issues during the progress. When i chose the studio lot in edit town mode, i just wasn't able to place it anywhere in the Town, because the empty lot icons didn't show up, but even if they did, i stil wouldn't be able to set up the studio lot, because it's too gigantic (64x64 size) and wouldn't fit into any of the empty lots. So i just created a 64x64 sized empty lot and put it somewhere in sunset valley (don't remember exactly where). After that you may choose for it to be a residential or a commercial lot. Tick the commercial option and in the dropdown menu box choose the visitors allowed option. After that you may use that lot to build up the studio

sorry for doubleposting, but i'd like to add some more information on the subject.
After setting up the studio, your sim may begin his/her acting carreer immediately. Just send him/her to the location of the studio and they may sign up for the job right after that

Wow thanks for the additional info!! I really do appreciate it and don't even worry about posting. We post, put up butt loads of our Sims pics and talk about everything, not just Sims! Works out great because we have an exceptional amount of respect for each other here!! Hope to keep seeing you around, and I've got to figure out why you are not coming up correctly in your post!

Well I've been testing my simmies in Riverview and yes I can get the nighclubs and studio lot and after 24 hours my game spawns the bouncers and mixologists itself but no press or celebrities as of yet...the vamps we all know we have to move ourselves so now I'm going to check out if the same goes for the celebrities or if they loose their famous status once out of Bridgeport....I'll get back to you guys tonight and let you know.

Ok so I decided to play in Riverview and waited a whole sim week and no sign of a celeb and even though my simmie girl wanted to live the life of the celeb and one of her goals was to get a celeb point nothing was happening. So I went in edit town mode and placed a dance club, the movie studio lot, an exclusive bar and a vampire bar....

Then I saved and went into Bridgeport, I chose a sim who was pretty famous (Matthew Hamming he lives where all the mansions are) and evicted him...From the clipboard I saved a copy of him to the library and then popped him off the clipboard and back into his home and saved.

Back to Riverview I went and saw Mathew in the sims library in edit town mode...I popped him into the house of the simmeh girl I was using and dragged their friendship up...she instantly got two points for knowing him and now she is gaining points properly and Riverview has it's first official celeb!
