Do you remember those old fairy tales about little red riding hood and Goldilocks and the three bears? Fairy tales helped us as children expand our imagination and embrace a more magical world. In this competition you'll be doing just that as well as keeping those old fairy tales alive, but with your own twist.





-Editing is allowed, but please keep in mind your editing skills can have a positive or negative affect on your scores. No text on images unless stated otherwise.

-No negative attitudes towards other competitors, judges, or your own work. This is meant to be fun, and when we have negative nellie's running around, the fun factor of this competition fades quickly.

-Extensions will be given upon request. But please don't ask for an extension every assignment. I understand real life can really catch up with you, but asking for an extension every assignment can be very unfair to the competitors that get their assignments in on time.





Below you find a list of classic fairy tales. You may choose your fairy tale yourself, but once a fairy tale has been chosen it can not be picked again. This will be first come first serve.

Each assignment will be a new chapter for your story. The number of chapters will be determined by how many contestants sign up. It is up to you to decide how your story will be distributed within the chapters.

You will have one week per chapter.

You are allowed but not required up to 5 images per chapter.

Text is allowed but not required. Please keep in mind that using or not using text can either positively or negatively affect your scores.

Please keep in mind this is a picture competition. Your scores will be based off of 4 things:
-Creativity: Are your images well thought out?
-Story: How well are you sticking ot your story?
-Theme: Did you follow the given theme?
-Interest: Have you kept the readers interested?

Each chapter I will give you a theme, maybe you will need to give your 1st chapter a rainbow twist or maybe you'll need to give your 4th chapter a punk rock feel.

Your story book cover must contain the main character/characters which make up your story and SHOULD contain the title of your story. You may add your name/alias to the cover if you choose. There will be NO THEME for your cover. Please DO NOT crop or resize your image. This does count as an assignment and you will be judged on it, so don't wing it!

Sure do Evie! Only you would be able to make that post eye catching! It tends to be the ones who host their comps do a better job at giving their comps justice...ie Eva's contest...so have at it youngin'!

Okay so here is my entry, it's not brilliant but i'm much happier with this one then my earlier attempt



The 3 sparkles are the fairies from sleeping beauty. In the middle you have Princess Aurora (sleeping beauty) and Prince Phillip. Then the woman at the back is the evil Meleficent.

fab book covers so far everyone, now I am taking up my lurker post and waiting patiently for all other entries

Hi Celery!!! Glad to see you popping in from time to time!! Isn't this a GREAT contest?!!! You should make THIS ONE your final one before you hang it all up!

On featured artist question..not a silly one at all...you have to be a active member and of course a creator and you are 'invited' to become a featured artist if you meet all the requirements. You also have to agree to the terms and conditions that come with the position of being a featured artist. Not a lot required...but steady participation is a must.

Aw, thx for saying that Evie - lolz actually I really want to do some edgy, disturbing photos that wouldn't make good backgrounds, especially if someone's parents saw lol (aka - we're taking you to the psychiatrist's office first thing monday morning young lady!!!). No idea how to execute that style exactly the way I want it just yet, but I'll probably work on some things that won't go public. I've been doing pretty much all or mostly in-game pictures, and I guess I'm burnt out on it (doing the same doggone thing over and over and over again). My editing shuuucks right now tho, gah.

Your avi is beautiful btw - not sure if I mentioned it before >,< And the book covers look really good!
