Bah! I agree! EA need to thoroughly test their games out before releasing them! I've never seen a games company that has to release so many patches!

EA fail... I hope things get better. My launcher hasn't been working properly for a couple of weeks now. Every time I try to open it I have to wait almost 10 minutes before it'll even shop up on my desktop and then about 20 minutes before it will let me click play...

My launcher isn't working properly either, everytime I click play it says the sims launcher has stopped working then a little box pops up saying debug, then vanishes and the game loads...Also my sims are now floating! Yep thats right whenever they go upstairs the floor vanishes, they float for a little while and then drift back down to the ground floor and climb back up the stairs only to repeat the whole process over and over again...an the only way to stop it was to move home...bah!

Cece, Snowee, do you two have Overwatch installed? It might help with any lag related issues, Bridgeport has some issues, sims get stuck easily and cars build up in stupidly large amounts causing massive memory hogging. Some have also reported that though their games in other cities play fine, Bridgeport is slow even with Overwatch... it is more graphically intense than the other cities, and generally has more going on, therefore a huge issue for computers at the low end of the game requirements, or commonly reported to those running cards that don't have dedicated memory. Evie, you should try bypassing the launcher to start your game, many people have had issues with it for as long as I can remember and most have solved the issue by not using it to start the game at all. Qgirl, I do remember someone else posting about floating sim syndrome but I don't remember if a solution was given. I'm assuming you have reset all the sims on that lot, and do so after using moveobjects on them (it's a common cause of floating sim syndrome)

Q-Girl, the launcher problem is happening for me also. Just keeps saying that the launcher has stopped responding, please debug. Blah'd blah blah. I remember having the floating sim syndrome back when I first got Ambitions. It was annoying, they kept disappearing through walls and then getting stuck and I couldn't find them in the lot. I had to actually get them to go to bed and they would reappear. I had to use moveobjects on them to place them back into the house and not on the roof. I never used moveobjects on my sims before this occured. It appears the glitches in my game have only just begun showing up and I'm wondering if thats from excessive playing (I never played the game much before I got Late Night, due to the probs I had with Ambitions) doing it or if it's some kind of weird thing with the game itself. If that makes sense.

Over Watch I don't have. How to I get it please? I sent my Sims to France and no dragging sims. When I brought them back to Bridge Port the drag started up again I'm building them a Big house now but I know that won't help the problem. I really won't to go back to the Pent House living it was fun. Come on EA!!!!

Q-girl one way to fix the whole floating sim syndrome is to put testingcheatsenabled true in and then have the sim that keeps floating teleport to right next to your mailbox. Then repeat this for any sims floating. Unfortuantly the whole floating sim thing is a glitch when you move your sims in buymode with moveobjects on. So then you wont have to move your sims home! Let me know if this doesnt work though! |
