I must say that I am really proud of all of you this round! Everyone's pictures and poems were excellent! Great job everyone!

Just a note....there are several reasons why I included the poetry bit in these last assignments... One, being that poetry is a huge part of the gothic culture, and this comp just wouldn't be true if I didn't include it. And two, I think that these stages are incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to convey in just a picture alone, so the poetry is there to help with that. So, for those of you who are worried that their picture doesn't convey the stage properly, don't worry about it, that's really the poems job. The should picture should visualise the poem, and thereby the stage.....if you catch my drift.

I'm sorry. REALLY sorry, but I have to drop. I have to write this report I've been putting off and its due monday so I'm commiting myself to it this weekend. I don't think I'll have any time to fit this in. I feel terrible about it as I so love being in this competition. Its right behind Next top non-mortal on my list of competitions. Kelle- It's kind of a loose lose/lose situation! lol I mean, I haven't had to eliminate anyone, but having that many people drop out is incredibly discouraging as a comp host.

dont get discouraged! its a great comp, and id love to be a part of the next one, if you decide to do it again. this comp is unique because its not all fluff and photoshop, it requires talent and gives the model a character.

Awww guys i so didn't/don't want to have to drop. I'm seriously trying to get this paper done today. So maybe I will be able to work on a shot for this tomorrow, 6pm PST is like 9pm EST i think so we'll see. I would love to stay in this. Although i'm going to be in the same boat with finals and what not coming up and needing to focus and study up so i can pass everything. We'll see.

and Akasha you really do have a fantastic comp. I think its just bad timing for a lot of people that had to leave. Its definitely because it was a bad competition being poorly run or anything like that.

RD, if you can find the time to stay, it would be great. I think we all understand the real life obligations, though. I'm finding it harder and harder to fit in time to really work on my shots, and now with the poetry involved it's getting even tighter. My picture this round isn't great and I know it -- I just started working on it this evening and didn't spend much time tweaking at all (and it'll show). Same with the poem...it just wasn't there this time.

Do whatever you feel is best for your situation (now & in the near future -- we still have several more assignments to go, right?). Good luck with everything!

It's definitely the hair, but the skin is AMAZING, and her lips look SO realistic. I love that red glow under her chin too -- I would seriously love to see her in a dark, twisted story... :twisted:

I need a new video card soooooobaaaadlyyyyyy. My pc's processor & motherboard need upgrading first, and then I'd need to get Windows 7 so that I could use more ram. I'm stuck on Chapter 5 with Sisters For Eternity (my vamp story, has its own blog and all) but for some reason it isn't working for me. So I have to rebuild my sets and such, and since my mid terms are coming up, it's going to take even longer. Well for pictures atleast. I'm almost done writing chapter 7, which is so freaking sexy lol! Anyway, I might just pursue this Lemiko story. At first she started all sweet gothic like, I think I like how she looks right now in this pic. And I should use the guy, who was the wolf for the "story book" assignment....he's pretty hot up close...anway..I'll work with that.

We should start centering the pic & poem -- I think it looks better!

I like using newegg.com for computer parts b/c they're usually fairly cheap (and sometimes have free shipping - woot!). When we built this pc we had no IDEA what the hell we were doing, but it worked out great. I definitely want to do that again...assuming I can ever get my hands on more than $6 in the near future...

And if you don't use the hot, sexy, smouldering hunk of wolf yumminess, I'll hunt you down and smurf you up! He was delicious...Sims stories need all the hot men they can get!
